Sato cuts the rope holding the screwdriver in place to cut off circulation on his left arm. He still has one on his right, but for some reason its back on his left a few pannels later. It seems like the taskforce guy tries to undo it a few frames later, maybe he put it back on? Sato got shot with a tranq in his left arm after his circulation was back in action, he should be down for the count.
Not a big deal as he could've just used his right to block it and probably would have if the artist or author caught that.
Socialist governments also work differently with the government providing more services, like health care, welfare, and in some cases housing.
Communist governments are an extreme example and tend to get corrupted by a few bad actors. (Think Putin and the KGB)
1: His personality. He doesn't talk much or really get involved in the story unless MC is in direct danger. This is the first real time were getting any form of development for him.
2: The story. Its not really about him so the author just doesn't want to focus on him. Its more about our MC and his return to his family and regular life. Only really diving into his background when necessary, leaving us with no backstory on a good chunk of the numbers until the story demands more information on them.
I agree he's under developed, I just think it fits the story and any real development for him would've felt shoehorned in up to this point. Now feels like the perfect time for some development for him. I'm very hopeful. 🤞
I do disagree that he should be MCs rival, its very clear he cares about MC. Any rivalry that was hinted at is gone and I prefer it that way. MC doesn't need a rival.
Think of it like when you transfer an organ to someone and their body rejects it.
He wants to kill Shirone because he’s a carbon copy of everything he hates.
If all you ever saw is darkness would you ever know what light is? Inversely if all you saw was light would you know what darkness is? A new perspective is a valuable, sometimes reality altering thing.
As far as the equivalent exchange thing; He was out of “willpower” the thing that powers magic, he didn’t have enough to do that level of magic so was defying that law by doing so. My guess is by drawing from his life force instead or some shit.
This story is a fucking banger, sorry you’re struggling to understand it
