Well, equipment is simply meant to be used- it doesn't really matter who's using it. I don't think his creators would've been like "oh yeah lets add that he wants to smooch equipment" in his code when making artificial humans.

Interesting to see how much people hate Yami, maybe i just like drama but hikari never had the guy in the bag. Just dreams. When it seemed like he liked her, she didn't so "it's quite late" is appropriate...i think the story is supposed to focus on the fact that it's late and she's another childhood friend who loses the guy.
