Grow up, live a little, learn to have fun, and smile. Get through school so you can stand proud and say, "I made it" because, at the end of the day, life's too short for these tantrums you are throwing. Stop wasting time and make your parents proud. Once again, you made my day, kiddo, not once but twice. LMAO
A quarter of a wiener plus a half of a wiener does not equal a full wiener.
Mathematically, this breaks down as follows
A quarter = 1/4
A half = 1/2
1/4 + 1/2 = 3/4
Therefore, adding one quarter and one half together gives you three quarters of a wiener, not a whole wiener. This means she got scammed out of a full wiener.
Why is this important? Well, that full wiener could have been a wiener of a lifetime. In short, the plot thickens. This is a concern, not a problem. What would have been thicker is now thinner, now all we're left with is a plotline. But worry not! there's still a chance it can be thickened. She just needs a full grown wiener, and without a complete wiener, the plot will never thicken. Let's just hope she one day receives a full wiener and not three quarters of a wiener.
One of the coolest parts about the game was that while introducing someone to Age of Wushu, you were, at the same time, introducing them to Jet Li. If they were unfamiliar with who he is, since he was the poster boy of the game.

Here's the difference between xianxia and wuxia in more detail: In xianxia, a practitioner (or cultivator) trains to achieve immortality and godhood, transcending the mortal realm entirely. Ascension is an extraordinary, supernatural event that marks a character's transition from mortal to immortal.
Practitioners have what we call "Heavenly Tribulation" Before ascending, the cultivator must face a Heavenly Tribulation, often a violent storm of divine lightning and other phenomenas sent by the heavens to test their worthiness. Following this is "Clouds of Heaven and Earth" which happens when successfully passing the tribulation. Ascending is a monumental event that shakes the world. This is accompanied by grand displays of power, such as the gathering of vast clouds of spiritual energy from heaven and earth. These aren't just normal clouds, they are a manifestation of the universe acknowledging the cultivator's breakthrough.
The key here is "a manifestation of the universe acknowledging the cultivator's breakthrough" This is why clouds are being produced in space during MC's ascension.
Now, in wuxia stories, it focuses on human martial artists and their impressive but still human level feats, while superhuman by our standards. an example of this is the Shaolin Temple in real life, where they are constantly pulling off superhuman like feats. Characters in wuxia are not immortal gods and cannot "ascend" to a higher plane of existence.
Seeking the peak of power would look like this in wuxia: The ultimate goal for a wuxia hero is not immortality but to become the most skilled and powerful martial artist in the world. With skills like "Clouds" as a technique, any mention of clouds in wuxia usually refers to a high level movement technique called (qinggong) An example being a skill called "Cloud Ascending Ladder" which would allow a person to move with incredible lightness and speed, leap to great heights, and run on vertical surfaces. Though depending on the story, it can vary, and "Cloud Ascending Ladder" can be named something else entirely.
With that said, wuxia has no divine phenomena. The stories are rooted in a more quasi historical world. There are no magical "heaven and earth" clouds or divine lightning trials for a character reaching the peak of their martial power. Instead, the "origin energy" of heaven and earth is the basis for their cultivation, but it does not manifest in the same way as in xianxia.
Depending on the reason, I do not mind answering your questions. There are many ways I can answer, and there are many ways you can twist my answer to your favor, an example being that it's a very delicate question to ask, and it is by no means a question you should be asking just anyone. You can then twist the "it's a delicate question" part to your favor.
But what if I told you that as soon as you are considered a disciple, you are considered no different from family to your master? As a master, would you tell your life story to a
Now, I do not expect a full on documentary of MC's life, but I do expect reasons for his actions. All we know as of this post is MC is obsessed with protecting the empire. Why? Like I said, give me a reason to keep reading. Again there is tons of missing key information, you can't expect readers to understand MC's dedication to the empire just from a life and death battle with the demon lord, while being in the heroes party.
All we got was a time skip, it's just bad writing, and there's no excuse for it. We know nothing about why MC's so close to his party and why the MC is so dedicated to the past emperor/empire besides that battle. We just got one of our very first flashbacks in
You are fine to disagree with all of the above, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But if you have not read "One Step Toward the Dark Lord" you might not fully understand why it's a big issue that will become bigger over time with these kinds of stories. And if you have read it and see no issue, even after reading my reply to my own post on why it's such a big issue, well, you turned off your brain while reading a masterpiece, and it's a damn shame.
Funny enough, he has essentially already reached that goal with his support gem called Misunderstandings, which causes a third party to misunderstand any given situation.

But sometimes you will be reading a manga, and you randomly notice such an increase in deep affection between certain characters. Then you eventually read the web novel or light novel, just to find out it was a s*x scene that deepened their relationship, and that's a big no no. Being left in the dark is horrible feeling. It's a bigger deal than people think it is, especially if you understand why s*x is important in a relationship, let alone a marriage. It's a make or break for both.
Anyway, you saved me some time. thanks for the heads up. It's bad enough we have to deal with the amount of key scenes and details left out when going from a web novel and light novel to a manga in certain works, etc.
"One Step Towards the Dark Lord" has never strayed from its original goal, which is literally in the title: one step at a time. Straight from the very first chapter.
If "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" decided to stray from its original goal like this story did in the first few chapters, the butter would be spoiled, and there would be no bread. It will create bigger problems as the story goes on that will only get worse.
This is why I am using "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" as a comparison because it's a perfect example that examines what would happen if the author of "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" followed the same path as this author did. When you compare the two, it will be a long adventure where you will meet many enemies and comrades, etc. But remember, "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" never strayed from its goal. It explained enough to follow along, provided you were paying attention. I'm talking about the backgrounds of characters, the whole long mile.
This story, on the other hand, not only failed to present a clear goal, but it also strayed from it. We know nothing about key details like the hero's party, etc. Why is the MC so dedicated? While the adventure goes on, more comrades and enemies will be introduced, and guess what? Even more will come.
We are at chapter 9 as of this post, with no answers to the most important questions. The beginning of stories is the foundation of what's to come. After reading "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" I know what's coming, and it's a big no no.
This author can't make up his or her mind. Just because a few chapters are out, you cannot give this author a pass on this. There 's no excuse for it. Like I said, you would understand if you read "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" Go read it, and as you do, try to visualize how this story will turn out. You can use "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" as that visual guide line.
This story lost its purpose from chapter 1, while stories like "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" have never strayed from their original goal, Straight from the very first chapter, as I mentioned above.
Not going to lie, I feel a pain in my heart using "One Step Towards the Dark Lord" as a comparison because, in my personal opinion, this story is not even worthy of that.
How can such a key detail from the start of the story be missing an explanation? This is what we call bad writing. All we know is she received it from the demon lord and that it is a godlike power. We know nothing about why she's so dedicated to the Emperor and her comrade in arms, which is the hero's party. All we get is, "It's my duty to do so" Give me a reason to keep reading, give me a reason for your dedication to the Empire. Tell me why you value your comrades so much. It's just not there.
From chapter one onward, It goes into a 150 year timeskip, her meeting a soon to be disciple, another timeskip training the disciple, and seeing her off, only to come back dying and asking for the MC's story that was glossed over. This was a missed opportunity for backstories on her comrades, etc. but the author skips it and instead goes straight into revenge: the Empire is corrupt, let's kill them all, including the current emperor. To someone telling her not to lose her way, this replaces her revenge mindset with it's another adventure, This is "so fun" mindset. Obviously, with revenge as the priority just with a different mindset.
But without the extra drive for revenge, the story feels so out of place, it's just bad writing, red flags are everywhere. The story is set to be a long one, and I mean long. The author set it up in such a way that after the adventure toward revenge is over, they can continue even further by incorporating other godlike beings and powers for the MC to ally with or fight against for things like thrones of the gods in a higher realm, etc. This is hinted at in Chapter 0, this story has tons of inconsistency, and people should see them as make or breaks, there not small inconsistencies. You may think its not a problem now, since it's early on. But, i can assure you it will become a big problem later on, because these kind of mistakes the author made should be the bread and butter of a story. Yet they butchered it from the get go.
Would I recommend it? No, I would not.
Now, was it worth it? I would say so. I was more immersed in the story, I felt like I was eating with the cast. Great read, highly recommend it.

Not going to lie, if that's the case, that's pretty darn cool. Shalltear Bloodfallen was one of my favorite characters from Overlord. Everything from her attire to personality made her a baddie.

back in the day we had normal daily slaps, weekly slaps, monthly slaps, yearly slaps, the slap of the century, the slap that does not hurt, the slap that hurts, the I'm sorry slap, the "look, I'm really sorry" slap, the "it's not my fault" slap, the "it's okay, sweetie" slap, the "come here, sweetie" slap, the "please don't hurt me" slap, the "just receive and be done with it" slap, the "everything will be alright" slap, the "ain't nobody got time for that " slap, the "don't make me take off my shoe" slap, the "don't make me get the belt" slap, the "don't make me get the paddle" slap, the "what are you going to do about it" slap.
Fast forward to 2025, now we have...
Daily abuse slaps, weekly abuse slaps, monthly abuse slaps, yearly abuse slaps, the slap abuse of the century, the slap abuse that does not hurt, the slap abuse that hurts, the "I'm sorry, it's abuse" slap, the "look, I'm really sorry, it's abuse" slap, the "it's abuse, it's not my fault" slap, the "it's abuse, okay, sweetie" slap, the "come here, it's abuse, sweetie" slap, the "please don't hurt me, it's abuse" slap, the "just receive and be done with it abuse" slap, the "everything will be alright, abuse" slap, the "ain't nobody got time for that, abuse" slap, the "don't make me take off my shoe, abuse" slap, the "don't make me get the belt, abuse" slap, the "don't make me get the paddle, abuse" slap, the "what are you going to do about it, abuse" slap.
It's now 2038. Robots now scream abuse, and the best selling book of all time is called "A Boy Cries Abuse" You are a soldier on the battlefield, humans are on the brink of extinction, and it's robots vs humans. You notice a dimensional vortex open up from the outer space system, and out comes a gigantic robot. It's immune to all things living and all things known to man. Humanity is now doomed, all soldiers are down, and life is now flashing before your eyes. You recall the book "A Boy Cries Abuse" and the first few lines, which read as follows: "Ass whoopings changed my life, I tried to tell them, but nobody believed me" and As you take your final breath, you come to a sudden realization: I just got my ass beat by a robot, and I can't even scream abuse.

You would theoretically be telling the truth because MC's literally just another soul in a different body, and you could argue he was a genius in many ways before he died, and that carried over. When MC just happened to wake up in a body that's not his, with an injury that can possibly cause savant syndrome, it's a perfect balance of is it a lie or is it the truth, or both a lie and truth? Who knows? Maybe people who have savant syndrome in real life are people just like MC's situation, pretty interesting to think about.
With that said, if I ever meet someone with savant syndrome, I will proceed to say, "I know who you are" because it will forever haunt them, and it's the ultimate torture knowing someone knows your secret. I'm sure it will create a new syndrome along the way, a syndrome so profound, so legendary, that very person might just start a new generation of "Boy Meets World"
