How can such a key detail from the start of the story be missing an explanation? This is what we call bad writing. All we know is she received it from the demon lord and that it is a godlike power. We know nothing about why she's so dedicated to the Emperor and her comrade in arms, which is the hero's party. All we get is, "It's my duty to do so" Give me a reason to keep reading, give me a reason for your dedication to the Empire. Tell me why you value your comrades so much. It's just not there.
From chapter one onward, It goes into a 150 year timeskip, her meeting a soon to be disciple, another timeskip training the disciple, and seeing her off, only to come back dying and asking for the MC's story that was glossed over. This was a missed opportunity for backstories on her comrades, etc. but the author skips it and instead goes straight into revenge: the Empire is corrupt, let's kill them all, including the current emperor. To someone telling her not to lose her way, this replaces her revenge mindset with it's another adventure, This is "so fun" mindset. Obviously, with revenge as the priority just with a different mindset.
But without the extra drive for revenge, the story feels so out of place, it's just bad writing, red flags are everywhere. The story is set to be a long one, and I mean long. The author set it up in such a way that after the adventure toward revenge is over, they can continue even further by incorporating other godlike beings and powers for the MC to ally with or fight against for things like thrones of the gods in a higher realm, etc. This is hinted at in Chapter 0, this story has tons of inconsistency, and people should see them as make or breaks, there not small inconsistencies. You may think its not a problem now, since it's early on. But, i can assure you it will become a big problem later on, because these kind of mistakes the author made should be the bread and butter of a story. Yet they butchered it from the get go.
Would I recommend it? No, I would not.
Now, was it worth it? I would say so. I was more immersed in the story, I felt like I was eating with the cast. Great read, highly recommend it.

Not going to lie, if that's the case, that's pretty darn cool. Shalltear Bloodfallen was one of my favorite characters from Overlord. Everything from her attire to personality made her a baddie.

back in the day we had normal daily slaps, weekly slaps, monthly slaps, yearly slaps, the slap of the century, the slap that does not hurt, the slap that hurts, the I'm sorry slap, the "look, I'm really sorry" slap, the "it's not my fault" slap, the "it's okay, sweetie" slap, the "come here, sweetie" slap, the "please don't hurt me" slap, the "just receive and be done with it" slap, the "everything will be alright" slap, the "ain't nobody got time for that " slap, the "don't make me take off my shoe" slap, the "don't make me get the belt" slap, the "don't make me get the paddle" slap, the "what are you going to do about it" slap.
Fast forward to 2025, now we have...
Daily abuse slaps, weekly abuse slaps, monthly abuse slaps, yearly abuse slaps, the slap abuse of the century, the slap abuse that does not hurt, the slap abuse that hurts, the "I'm sorry, it's abuse" slap, the "look, I'm really sorry, it's abuse" slap, the "it's abuse, it's not my fault" slap, the "it's abuse, okay, sweetie" slap, the "come here, it's abuse, sweetie" slap, the "please don't hurt me, it's abuse" slap, the "just receive and be done with it abuse" slap, the "everything will be alright, abuse" slap, the "ain't nobody got time for that, abuse" slap, the "don't make me take off my shoe, abuse" slap, the "don't make me get the belt, abuse" slap, the "don't make me get the paddle, abuse" slap, the "what are you going to do about it, abuse" slap.
It's now 2038. Robots now scream abuse, and the best selling book of all time is called "A Boy Cries Abuse" You are a soldier on the battlefield, humans are on the brink of extinction, and it's robots vs humans. You notice a dimensional vortex open up from the outer space system, and out comes a gigantic robot. It's immune to all things living and all things known to man. Humanity is now doomed, all soldiers are down, and life is now flashing before your eyes. You recall the book "A Boy Cries Abuse" and the first few lines, which read as follows: "Ass whoopings changed my life, I tried to tell them, but nobody believed me" and As you take your final breath, you come to a sudden realization: I just got my ass beat by a robot, and I can't even scream abuse.

You would theoretically be telling the truth because MC's literally just another soul in a different body, and you could argue he was a genius in many ways before he died, and that carried over. When MC just happened to wake up in a body that's not his, with an injury that can possibly cause savant syndrome, it's a perfect balance of is it a lie or is it the truth, or both a lie and truth? Who knows? Maybe people who have savant syndrome in real life are people just like MC's situation, pretty interesting to think about.
With that said, if I ever meet someone with savant syndrome, I will proceed to say, "I know who you are" because it will forever haunt them, and it's the ultimate torture knowing someone knows your secret. I'm sure it will create a new syndrome along the way, a syndrome so profound, so legendary, that very person might just start a new generation of "Boy Meets World"
If my family were fighting to the death, I would not be worrying about my attire, and the way she is dressed next to her brother shows me she spent hours to look like that. Considering she might have had a maid do it makes it just as bad, she did all that before checking to see if her family was safe, not mention her entire clan when it's a life or death situation.
This is what we call being spoiled rotten. I liked her character before this happened, but you know what? I realized when she said she would protect MC, even though she was young, she had enough power to pull him out of that situation. If she wanted to, she could even send out guards to protect him at least in the shadows. Not mention, she could easily send scouts to keep an eye on MC and report back to her.
No food, water, blankets, no checking up on him, literally nothing besides empty words. If she cared, she would know where he is. So don't say she can't, she can. There's no excuse to be made it was a failed kept promise, and the fact its played off as she actually cared drives me nuts, because considering her options available she failed to protect him. It's one thing, if its a kept promise, but it wasn't it, it was just false expectations for a "kid at death doors" it makes, Me sick, just thinking about it.
She is not part of your average Joe family, she's part of the most, if not the most, influential family in these kinds of stories. She has the resources, she has the best education you could ask for. She is a born prodigy, she is smart, she is talented, and her family acknowledges that. Nothing is stopping her from helping MC, If anything, being that young would hold her more power. There's a thing called favoritism, and she was favored. So much that they would turn a blind eye to her behavior towards her elders. She is that important in that family, she is a pillar that can make or break that family.
Knowing she comes from such a family, you can argue all you want that it's because she was young it changes nothing, now if she was an average Joe from an average family, I would most likely agree depending on the circumstances. Because such a genius can come from a lower background as well, with that aside If you read enough stories with similar concepts or understand the history of royalty as a whole, you would understand she was raised with expectations that royalty would expect.

I'm here to tell you this is not the case, what we have here is a beautiful born princess.
But do not be fooled, the princess loves swords, the princess loves muscle, the princess is a man, and I failed to read the entire title. Now, I feel less like a man and more like a princess.
So, is this worth the read? Well, I would say yes! I currently transitioned into one fine princess, and you can too.

This means our MC is lucky not to have been born a honeybee.
There are many possibilities, here are two that come to mind. One, it's the teacher in the wheelchair and the current papa's wife beside him. The teacher had some form of injury, most likely from an accident, that prevented the wife's wish for pregnancy and required surgery involving his testicles or PP to fix or remove the problem. You cannot fix what is broken, thus, getting a new papa who can give them what they want.
Possibility number two: it's the wife in the wheelchair who is now with the current papa, and the teacher is beside her in the photo. The person in the wheelchair has a gown, maybe she had a miscarriage or some other serious issue that affected her fertility and underwent testing and procedures to fix the problem and still could not conceive, leading to a "his fault, her fault" scenario.
Keep in mind, when something this serious happens, it can easily crumble a relationship or marriage. An example is the coworker of the current papa, she wanted a kid after four years in her relationship so she could be a mom. The man did not want that, so they split. Now imagine two people wanting a kid and they can't due to the above. This then led to finding a replacement papa who can give her what she wants, which so far is a kid.
Without mixing ingredients, as a standalone leaf, it has many benefits that were later discovered through modern scientific research, such as anti cancer, antioxidant, anti allergic, anti fungal, anti diabetic, and antimicrobial properties. Only certain benefits were known back in ancient times, so it was commonly used as a stimulant, digestive aid , and breath freshener.
We were told the young leader has a weak constitution, this is why he chews the betel leaf.

Went in with my head held high. I expected unlimited toppings, but all I got was stale bread and a load of disappointment.
I do not recommend the rent a girlfriend experience.
Enemy: You... Who are you?
MC: The third son of this clan
You have to survive to even get anywhere to begin with, you would have to be stupid to want to stay in that kind of sect in such a dangerous world, especially when the negatives outweigh the positives. Doing so will hold back your true potential. The MC and sister can skip most, if not all, the negatives.
Now, when you take what i said into consideration these demonic cultivators we thought were going to be 6th, they now become lower because they stayed within these lower regions for hundreds of years, doing a small to medium number of sacrifices and holding back their true potential, while other demonic cultivators outside lower regions are sacrificing way more than just a certain amount a year. They are out there sacrificing villages etc.
In Japan, this evidence could ruin both parties involved and do tremendous amounts of damage. This is why people who like NTR think it is a ridiculous genre at times, even though they indulge in it, since evidence is everywhere. The guy engaging in NTR usually never tries to cover it up and makes it obvious, sometimes sending the evidence himself. It's counterproductive and pure stupidity to even attempt to cheat, let alone make it obvious in a marriage.
In Japan, the consequences are life changing. Reputation is everything, and you can take someone to court over the smallest offense depending on the circumstances, with the chances that the situation commonly aligns to be able to pursue is fairly high. This is one of the reasons people carry on with their day even during a dire situation. They cannot be held accountable, they also have a chance to bring shame to their family's reputation and risk being disowned.
With that said, it's a male dominant culture that sticks to the husband working while the housewife takes care of the home and kids, the traditional standard being at least two kids. It's worth noting that while the traditional two child ideal exists, Japan currently has a very low birth rate (well below two children per woman) and laws do exist to protect victims of domestic violence (such as the Act on the Prevention of Spousal Violence) However, the cultural inertia and social stigma often minimize the effectiveness of these legal protections in practice.
In male dominant cultures the husband has the most control and rights in the relationship. Abuse is common, and unfortunately, some have no choice but to put up with it depending on the circumstances unless they want to be not just physically ruined but psychologically and financially ruined, thus not only ending their career but ruining any chance they could have been given for a way out. So they usually put up with it, and by the time the chance comes around, they are usually already ruined physically, psychologically, and financially.
This ends my TED Talk session.
