So many emotions run wild while reading this. I'm not going to lie, I've cried a few times. It gives me similar vibes to "Your Lie in April" which is quite the read, especially if you understand music theory. To grasp the true extent of every emotion in "Your Lie in April" it requires quite a bit of understanding of music theory. If you do not have any of that knowledge, you're missing out big time.

An example being, what does it mean to lose your sound in music? The average Joe would be like, "Well, he's just having trouble hearing" but in reality, there's way more to it. He's become numb to the feeling of sound. This can stem from trauma, etc. You essentially lose your ability to perform at that point, that sound in music has no life in it. You, as a performer, bring it to life for the audience. If you are dead inside, numb to the feeling of sound, where's the life in that? You have no emotion, who wants to relate to that? Even if you try, there is no sound to relate to. That's where music theory comes into play. People in the audience are there to relate and be moved by a piece you play. You, as a musician, bring out that performance, what you're feeling, the audience will feel with you.

With that said, you might be curious why I'm comparing this to "Your Lie in April" It's because the MC is numb to sound, In "Your Lie in April" he's essentially emotionless. The FMC comes around and brings life back to him, gives him the feeling of emotion again, and brings out the best in him. The FMC also had an illness that would eventually take her life, though on a more extreme level than in this story, because in "Your Lie in April" the illness I'm talking about shuts down every part of your body one by one, organs and all. You lose feeling over time in every part of your body, slowly dying, it's a brutal illness. I'm not sure if it has a cure, I do know you can delay it though. The point I'm trying to make is we have two emotionless MCs from two different stories, with two different FMCs bringing life back into the two of them. Thus, they feel alive again, full of emotions.

It shares some similarities, especially with the two FMCs' personalities.

I'm more of a wuxia/xianxia guy when it comes to novels, but I'm always willing to try other genres out, especially a good romance. wuxia/xianxia usually has an insane amounts of chapters, so I've got to make time for it.

Would you still recommend reading it? I've been meaning to try the novel but have not gotten around to it yet since I've been reading other things.

It's Ishmael from Punishing Gray Raven. She is a higher dimensional existence. Ishmael is a "Watcher" or "Observer" who exists as a higher dimensional entity beyond the standard time space continuum of the PGR universe. Her true form is even higher dimensional than her projections, the playable character you play as is just one such projection.

She has abilities such as reality manipulation, with vast control over reality, time, and causality. She can create stars and black holes with an idle projection, reverse time, and travel between alternate worlds by tearing the fabric of spacetime.

She is omniscient, has a degree of cosmic awareness and nigh omniscience, aware of countless failed attempts in different timelines and unaffected by time manipulation on her past self.

The power scaling for Ishmael is pretty wild, she is described as being "7D" or "hyperversal" She can destroy universes and exists independently of the duality of existence/non-existence.

In summary, Ishmael operates on a scale far beyond the conventional power levels of other characters in the game, who are mostly powerful but still "mortal" or non higher dimensional. She is an alien deity who can warp reality itself.

For anyone curious about how powerful the MC really is, think of it this way: I'll use Chinese cultivation works as an example. The objective in cultivation works is chasing the Dao, going against the heavens. There's a heaven above a heaven and eventually becoming an immortal and possibility into a god. You could argue it's only the beginning even when reaching a god state. The cultivation journey can differ depending on whether it's wuxia or xianxia, so keep that in mind.

Now, why do I bring this all up? Well, in cultivation works, there is a possibility of stepping into the road of learning a type of law. This could be space, earth, water, lightning, etc. This is what they're referring to when they talk about laws. Each god usually has one type of law, even outside of cultivation works, an example being gods like Poseidon, etc. Very rarely will one have more than one law, and if they do, the law type most likely got stolen in some way because you can take someone's laws away through specific methods. I'm speaking more so on cultivation when I say this, so keep that in mind as well. All this is very important to understand if you want to get an idea of how powerful the MC really is.

So, we now know that stepping into the road of learning a type of law is a possibility, but what if I told you not just anyone can learn a type of law? You're born with a specific type of magic or spiritual root, etc. Sometimes with multiple elements. It's a set in stone kind of situation to even learn a type of law to begin with. Not only do you need to be born with compatibility for the law, but you also need a godly amount of heavenly luck to find such opportunities to master it. You also need god like heavenly talent to even grasp a sliver of it, just a sliver. it can take hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, or hundreds of thousands of years just to master one type of law.

What the MC did was skip this entire process that a cultivator would spend learning a type of law, the journey, the godly rare opportunities, the dangers of people, etc. Just from one opportunity, he can already be considered a god not just any god, but an absolute ruler of laws. Why an absolute ruler of laws? Well, because of that one opportunity. When Viankal used his observing eye, he was scared shitless for a very valid reason, and he's lucky he did not die on the spot from taking a glimpse into the unknown.

When Viankal said the MC was tearing through the canvas itself, and he fixated lightning, twisted, and collapsed the law while it was still able to be materialized, what Viankal meant by this is that the MC literally broke the law itself while keeping the law materialized. This, in return, allows him to fuse laws while keeping each law materialized, thus giving him the possibility of creating his own laws with any given combination. It's absolutely insane.

I have got to get this off my chest, it's driving me nuts. Look, this series, has been semi-enjoyable so far, but something has got to change with the older brother. So far in this story, the MC's older brother's face is punchable. He's one, if not the most popular guy in school, where girls are fawning over him almost 24/7. We know this because of the way he's presented in the story. He has dozens of options, yet he gets pissy and aggressive, full of jealousy towards his younger brother, who's an outcast over one girl. It gets old. The MC is always being used as a middleman and compared to his older brother constantly in a negative light, all while the older brother does nothing to help paint him in a more positive light. Not even a "let's go hang out" Instead, he has nothing to do with the MC, if he does, it's by chance.

MC's older brother is not stupid, he's presented as an overachiever and highly educated. He knows very well that the MC has a crush on the younger sister, and the younger sister crushes on him, as the older brother and the older sister Kano crushes on the MC. Yet the older brother knows all this, and instead of pushing the younger sister towards the MC, while the MC is already slightly trying to push Kano towards the older brother, knowing he likes her, the older brother instead decides to keep being touchy with the younger sister, like the prince saving the princess scenarios. It's just ridiculous.

He does not encourage or put his foot down to shatter any expectations the younger sister would have for him. If he did this, the younger sister would let go enough, for the MC to swoop in and at least have a chance. Instead, the MC deserves nothing, not even a chance. Like seriously, he's a straight asshole. If MC's older brother wants to end up with Kano, he should first stop being overly close to the younger sister and support the MC in pursuit of the younger sister, and be nicer to MC, instead of these hissy fit's he's having. He needs to pursue Kano 100% not just hoping for a yes from asking, Will you date me? While treating the MC like trash.

In my opinion, this story will continue to be dragged out as a cat and mouse game, which can easily turn into a shitshow. Now, trust me when I say, I love a good yandere, but not one that's just as smart as the Mr. Smart Guy in the story, and continues letting the older brother do what he's doing to the MC which is abuse, all while being madly in love with MC.
Last time i checked "Yanderes" protect there lovers.

Remember, Kano is also in a perfect place to shatter any expectations beyond just saying, "I'm not interested" so much so it will give the older brother exactly what he needs, a reality check. If Kano truly loves MC, she needs to put her foot down and stop atagonizing the older brother, making things worse.

Where is the romance in all the above? It's just a circle jerk of abuse.

I know this might come off a bit silly, but every time I look at their red cruiser ship they're riding in, it always reminds me of the Magic School Bus. All you have to do is dye the magic school bus red, and it shares some similarities with the red cruiser ship in this story.

I still think it's some infertility problem that led to the current wife finding the current papa. The hospital visit could mean two things.
one, the wife got a check up to see if it's safe to give birth at her age, because we all should know everyone's body is different, a frail body type exists. Two, she is just seeing if she's fertile enough to have a child or she got checked out for both before trying to conceive.

I really want to know what comes next after the current wife gets pregnant and has the child. Then what? The scariest part is we have yet to see how far they're willing to go as yanderes. Usually in stories, yanderes are consistent in their yandere nature, but in this story, they fall under a few categories classified as a yandere type.

With that said, the old papa, so far judging by what I've seen, failed at something which led to the current wife going separate ways. You can really see this in the last chapter, he receives stuff from the daughter, and he smiled. So it's nothing bad and nothing new. As a matter of fact, if you looked at his expression, she definitely has been sending him gifts for a while. If this was a first time sender or a farewell letter, there would be a surprised look on his face or a hint of sadness. Instead, he was expecting it with a smile because it's not the first time he received a gift from her. The first thing he did was go to his mailbox and push aside all the other mail, so there's definitely some bit of guilt on either end or some other emotion that drives this. Someone who's completely done with you would not go out of their way sending letters etc.

There are plenty of ways to erase the old papa out of the picture, especially considering that the mother and daughter are batshit crazy. Theres a reason the daughter has not erased the old papa yet. That is until now. The old papa just now crossed that line of no return. What we see in this chapter is the old papa helping the current papa, but that's not the case because if you go back a chapter or two, he's not helping, he's planting seeds. Considering MC's nature, it will be disastrous psychologically, and that can lead to second guessing. That's not helping, that's what we call trying to destroy someone's relationship. He's just speeding up the process towards self destruction, so MC's relationship falls apart through bad decisions, etc.

He's probably thinking MC will fail in the areas he did, which led to the current wife leaving him. Basically, he knows their likes and dislikes while MC is cluelessly being manipulated.

I can't wait for more chapters!

You saying manhua will never get quality is a wild statement. No offense, but you need to broaden your horizons, read even more manhua, and explore donghua. Keep in mind that to have an appropriate discussion about quality when it comes to donghua or manhua, you would have to have at least watched donghua or read manhua for a few years, and that's hundreds upon hundreds of episodes and chapters of pure content. This can be all from one series, so simply watching or reading a few and calling it quits while trying to start a debate without enough catalog to back your claims is just silly and a waste of time.

Now, the reason I brought up donghua when we are talking about manhua "Quality" is that it's the best example of China going all in on quality over quantity, and it shows tremendously if you pay attention to detail. It's a similar case in manhua, it's just that the quality drops as time goes on, but sometimes that lost quality recovers as time moves forward. With that said, if you think Chinese works lack quality, then something is seriously wrong with your mindset because Chinese quality is insane, especially with the new donghua coming out in the next few years. Just like donghua, manhua will only get better in quality as time goes on.

So, "Neglect .4" was correct, for the most part, manhuas do prioritize quality over quantity. I say he is correct for the most part because he said new manhuas lately prioritize quality over quantity. Remove the new and the lately, then I will 100% agree with him because anyone who keeps up with Chinese culture, which I'm speaking more so on novels, donghua, and manhua, will know it's not lately but always about quality over quantity. Most, if not all, Chinese cultivation works easily exceed thousands upon thousands of chapters, they don't need to worry about quantity.

So that just leaves quality, and they are so ahead of their time in quality and have been for a long time. When it comes to animation, etc. It would blow your mind, the people saying otherwise just hate China or simply have not watched or read enough.

1 chapter in a manhua is at least 2-3 chapters from the novels, where we're lucky to even get 4. This rule is the same with donghua. Now, knowing the novels easily exceed thousands of chapters should be a reality check that Chinese works can simply go on for decades, essentially, they can turn anything into mainstream content. That's how much quantity they have to work with.

It's wild to think about, and the big corporations are making bank based on pure quality content, using numbers to their advantage. The only thing they would prioritize quantity over quality is "Stop Motion Comics" 5 minute to 10 minute shorts and people eat it right up, and I'm one of them.

Wow, the last few panels sent shivers down my spine! You can really feel the passion in both the art and writing. Definitely gifted, that's for sure.

You know, there is really great talent out there, but there's one thing, you either have it or you don't, and that's a full connection to an audience. No matter who it is, it will resonate with someone. You could hate the piece of work someone made, but did you know that very piece of music or piece of art you hate can heal a part of you without you even realizing it? Some people are just numb to the feeling, so they don't feel it at all.

With that said, don't get me wrong, there are people out there who are phenomenal at what they do and have worked very hard to achieve such talent. I'm not discrediting that in any way. I just wanted to share that there's talent out there that stands at the top but lacks this very thing that draws people in, regardless of whether they like it or not.

Now, anyone can train and draw an audience, but this is something much, much different. It goes beyond just gaining a fan base, and it's something you cannot acquire through training. You are either born with it, or if you are religious, this is what we call someone being anointed. Which you can possibly receive such a gifting from the Lord Himself by believing and doing God's work. Now, I say all this because I feel this gifting in the last few panels, so much so that I'm actually going to do some research on "the author and artist" so i can learn about them.

If you want to learn more about what I'm talking about without all the religious stuff, then research more into musical theory. When you dive deep enough into music, you will learn about this feeling I mention through musical theory, but you can learn through other professions as well. So, Keep that in mind. Now, from a religious aspect, research the Holy Spirit, follow the Lord, learn about the Word through the Bible, and over time you will learn about all sorts of gifts you probably never knew existed and can receive. But just as you can receive, it can easily be taken away, remember that.

That last panel goes hard. Can't wait for the next chapter! I hope all this action extends a few more chapters, though even if it doesn't, I'm sure we will see some action from the holy master to make up for it all. With that said, hopefully the censorship is not too bad when the time comes, like the fog always being between the cleavage, etc. I'm satisfied either way since it's a great read. All the extra fan service, etc. is just a cherry on top.

Really great read! The male lead is a green light kind of yandere, he gets a special pass in my opinion. So, if you do not like the really crazy types, this one is quite tamed in comparison. With that said, this story has a bit of a dark side to it but turns a new leaf every now and then to overshadow the dark elements. It has plenty of joyful moments with a mix of sadness in between, so much so you tend to forget at times that darkness looms around every corner, whether that's physically or emotionally. It never truly goes away, those physical scars remain, as do the emotional scars.

But when the FL and ML are together, these physical and emotional scars form a perfect harmony, almost to the point of every scar being washed away in that very moment. I use the word "almost" because the root of the story stems from FL's illness. It's easy to forget this at times since FL and ML complement each other so well, and when you realize this, you as a reader can't help but want the best for the FL and ML and the possibility of a happy ending. The story is in its final arc as of "October 20th, 2025" Chapters usually release every other Sunday.

Give it a try! Just know that diving in, there's a high possibility of a sad ending more than a happy one. Chapter 1 hints at this, but do not let it steer you away. And no, this is not a spoiler! it feels like one, though. I almost steered away myself because of it, but if you look past Chapter One's hinting, you will come to find out we don't know who it even is yet as of Chapter 74, and there are a few possibilities on who it is. I highly recommend reading Firefly Wedding.
