Rather than whatever this b.s is could of just said that the outside world was a steadier source of points than the portal world and he'd need to be strong incase someone down the line is able to see his portal (assuming it HAS to stay open even though he can freely move the placement). talking bout some what does it mean to be human when he has stated various times that the main aim is to survive.

absolutely. i was thinking maybe he'd mention something about the leveling system like maybe when in a party it shares to all members but nothing so far. he's also ignoring the basic trait that humans are social animals and need to interact with others to survive. the only way into the portal is his portal (does it stay open when he's inside idk) but he could quite literally just live there. though thats prolly stopped by later parts of the game.
