Finally read this. It was an 8/10 for me. I love mystery, and this is the first work of the legendary Urasawa-sensei I've read. HOWEVER. I think it's far, far too long. I think 150 chapters would have been the perfect length, that's including 21st. I also think it does a cardinal sin of Mystery, by giving you answers that give only (mainly) more questions. A good mystery is balanced, each answer giving satisfaction for the previous question while still building on the mystery by asking another question or two. I think Urasawa just kept stringing me along and I never got much satisfaction from the answers, especially because some of the answers are from questions that I asked over 100 chapters ago but the answer has no relevance at that later point, especially since it's so far back in the backlog layer of questions I've had since then. And the constant time-hopping made it hard to keep track of and sort of pulled me out of the experience. That and This combined with the insane length for a rather simple mystery knocks it down to a 8/10. Although the main highlight of the manga is the characters, hot damn are these some of the best characters I've ever read, as you know since you read it too. The praise is obvious, but man these were incredible characters. Art was good too.

It's an 8/10, but not a masterpiece in my opinion. I don't have any bias towards Urasawa-sensei so I'm looking at this fairly, but his character work is the best in the class.

While I'm not 100% sure if this is another mind-fuck, since the "Friend" we see has pure slick back hair, at least pre-being blown up. Since this is the future and he should not have a perfect face before being blown up. It's possible that he is friend, and since friend can float, he faked his death by floating just before hitting the ground and playing dead. Since there's just over less than half the manga left, I doubt this reveal, but it does make sense. Though now I'm thinking friend can shape-shift, or something. Perhaps he's an alien? Hmm. Idk.

I cannot fathom how I'm only half-way through this manga, it seems like things are gearing up to the end.
Great so far though, but it feels like it should have been far shorter.

It's funny that the death of one of modern shonens biggest villains isn't even the climax of this chapter. It's brushed aside like nothing lol. I actually liked OFA a little bit, even though he was the cliche of cliches.

I'd say I'm glad it wasn't Deku who beat a big bad this time, but it was Bakugo who done it. It's literally either him or todoroki who have the main spotlight, no other characters matter, despite the insane levels of character hopping this arc is doing. But somehow Bakugo beat a guy with a million quirks, in his prime, who had unlimited fucking energy and health thanks to rewind (technically). But big booms from a teenager with a few years of battle experience in his little body did something prime All Might couldn't even finish. Hmmm.......

I'm glad Shigaraki is an actual threat, they can't even let him touch the ground he's that dangerous. Then again, any DBZ villain could sneeze and blow away the galaxy, but like, power scaling is topical.

Calling it right now, Nika (some sort of spirit form or something?) will be on some island called "So-and-so" island. Or if you want to be pedantic and consider Luffy to be Nika, that Egghead was originally called "So-and-so" island. Idk seems like an Oda thing to do.
First time I've teared up in a one piece chapter, over a character that "died" half the manga ago.

I lost my father at 3 years old. I literally can't imagine it lol.
Then again, he was an abusive piece of shit, so him leaving forever was a good thing.
