I can't speak for everyone, but the older I get the more I'm comfortable living alone if it's not the right person. I don't want to settle down with somebody just because I may be reaching a certain age. I've grown to like myself enough that it's not the end of the world if the person I might like doesn't like me back. Either a new person comes along or they don't. Either way I like my day to day.
