People have always had idols or stars. People went all in on the Iliad etc., but now those stars can talk directly to you which causes more of an infatuation. Like Marilyn Monroe was very popular, but some person in the midwest or the other side of the world can now talk to them. A pretty unhealthy relationship, but I can see why it reaches to fanaticism.

Normally I'm not a fan of these mid chapter updates because I get my hope up about updates, but this was cute.

Just a different type of celebrity. One you interact with in chat and form a community around. I don't know why they get such dedicated fans, but I see it's just another version of a streamer.

I had the exact same thought.

I didn't quite know what to think about characters in their 30's, but being in my mid-30's I know what the feeling is like. Crazy how much a difference in years changes your perspective on points of view.
