When I made this comparison to a jw, she got a light crack in her faith. Well all the signs of big politics can be found in religion: false promises, us vs them mentality, preaching down, the back pedaling when caught in lie or untruth/half-lie. The funny thing is to be good at it you have to not believe the crap you are preaching. I learned that from politics and Scarface.
