Huh. The anime took several eps to cover a single manga chapter.

To all three of them. They're worthless if they can't be honest.

Bless this MC and may his wisdom pass on to the thousands of idiotic milquetoasts MCs that desperately need it.

At first I lol'd and then I cringed. Cursed Hairy Palms should never be a necromancer technique.

You're probably not seeing the serious flaw because you read too many of these stories and just became immune, like most people do. You're right in that murders tend to go unsolved...in America. Again, this is Japan. The actual fault in their legal system is usually at the stage of prosecution, not arrest or investigation. They're actually pretty damned good about catching perps, so the belief that activity in the beginner areas of the dungeon (presuming it has 20+ floors) would be so negligible is hard to swallow. If emphasis in the setting is put on adventurers being so important that society has revised itself around their growth, it stands to reason there would be careful failsafes in place for the beginner areas to ensure they're allowed to grow and develop. At the least, if there is an element of rot, there are better ways to display such instead of it being the old trope of "The Untouchable Rich Kids". But the author isn't fleshing that out as they deliberately went for an angle that allows them more time to spend on MC's emo inner monologues and less time making the action and plot seamless.

Functionally-speaking, if all he cares about is defending family and home, he should be networking. He should be looking for other players who, logically at this point, should not be alluded in this story as an antagonistic force. Reason being if they're all trapped in a world that has a timer on it before going to hell, what point would it make to body the few people that could do something to counter that? He should be networking within his class if he's staying in school, he should be looking for other players, he should be buffing his parents and not just his sister. If survival is priority, that is.

Whoever's doing this is failing to put framing together. It makes the action look sloppy, like a dubbing of a dubbing of a VHS, skipping in random intervals. Author's too in love with flashbacks and multiple POVs.

Like who is Satsuki? Why should we care about her? Did she attend a different school? Was she kicked out? Did the author really just try to squeeze at least two chapters worth of backstory+buildup into a half a chapter?

Also why's MC bothering with school if he's too terrified of networking? Why does he assume other gamers are default assholes when they, too should know An Ancient Evil™ is going to wake up and waste the damn planet? Are they really going to paint the other beta players as unexplained, unrelenting assholes with that plot hanging overhead? This book's confounding.
