Disqus was/is a comment hosting site most pirated manga/anime sites used. Just use their service and you don't have to code the whole comment section on your website.
A while back, Disqus changed it's policies and turned of the support and provision of services to pirate sites, nuking most of the sites that WE use.
And it wasn't just about the comment section. It was about the communities built over time.
And it's all gone.

Funny thing is, Mangakatana's Admin, Mod, Developer, and God, Kuma-san/Bear-san/Bot-san made the current comment section under a week, from what I remember. And coupled with the Ads, I and many stayed.

I don't know where the current population boom is coming from, but this was a small place run by our dear friend Bear-san.
That's the Disqus thing. The old normal, the change in regimen and the new normal.
The only thing I miss is being able to contact Bear-san directly through comments.

Still not in the clear. Those kind of perpetrators do other crimes to cover up the grape. I've seen, A LOT of bad cases.

It's like a deep, old scar, where even the thought of touching the "wound" sends phantom pain.
And I'm still not convinced this isn't "what I don't want to mention".
I've seen cases where most physical damage is done after the deed to cover up the crime.

I'm still not relived. There's still a chance of it being what we all thought it was and the pushing happened after it.
