i saw a story where the mc had a technique to torture the souls of the dead to give him info, billions of years worth of torture to the soul is only a fraction of a second for the mc

hmmm, if i had that option or death, as long as i can be freed eventually or move around while being consumed maybe from the insides or something then i can bear it, i would probably get used to the pain eventually since the brain would balance that level of pain as normal for me so if i just hold on them i am purely immortal with no downsides, so i think i would take that option, after all my life is in constant agony yet i am still alive so that would actually be an improvement since i no longer have to worry about the agony, at that point i can hibernate for 50 years with no issues then or i can become an ancient mummy buried somewhere in a deep slumber, i could also become william afton i suppose, stuck in eternal torment yet always coming back, my dream is to see the end of humanity, not in the way of humanity dying but rather how far they can go and if i have to be eaten alive for half a million years in order to do so then it would be worth it

you can ignore this hoshizora, this is a test since i noticed that pretty much every comment past a year old no longer has a pfp nor is it able to be responded to and i noticed that yours was at 11 months so i wanted to leave this here, my current theories are that there was site data loss or that old accounts get deleted but they might disconnect the account from their comments for data storage purposes so i am testing the third option, somebody please reply to this if the account above goes blank or maybe tell me if they know why ?

for the best scaling system i have read so far, while i have not yet read the novel so no idea if it is goo, i suggest reading My simulated path to immortality, that mc has the classic (i die then restart) power but he is living entire lifetimes before dying, he is trying to reach immortality as a normal dude and it is actually a hard thing to achieve in that world unlike sooooo many others that claim it is then have people who are insanely good at it pop up all the time, that mc crosses impenetrable wall after impenetrable wall and it is PERFECTION! no getting into a fight with a god and just when he is about to die he ascends to godhood or anything else stupid like that! no blood of a dragon ancestor or help from some cheat artifact or a mysterious teacher or anything, just pure determination, 1000/10 :DDDD

i have unfortunately not read that far as of yet, also i was talking about the representation of the dragons rather than a plot, many mcs will be early to mid development when they slay a dragon in a rather anticlimactic fight scene after, like i said, hyping up the powers of the dragons as the masters of all mana, a true dragon as the master of a mana should be able to make your fireball freeze over and fly back at your face, they also are often said to not even need to refine mana like humans do in order to refine it, and yet a petty human child can take one down with ease, and the dragons will act as though they never had any equals only to be defeated by mc but when mc returns there are many many more powerful humans he has yet to surpass, i must say that it kind of irks me

i think the story that best represented the power of dragons which is always described in immense details in these stories but then nerfed when shown was "How to Survive as a terminally-ill Dragon" because there the dragons are not just large beasts who slumber for eons on end while doing literally nothing else except waking up to do a bit of terrorism but rather dragons in their fullest living their lives, you also always hear mentions of a dragons polymorph skills but unless they turn into a cute loli they are rarely used, i have yet to see a dragon who takes full advantage of polymorph :/
