When Kaiju 8 was still running you will see at least 5 of these comments begging crying for the next chapter every week even though the chapter was just updated like 3 minutes ago. While I will admit that series was really dragging its sorry ass toward the end with all the cliffhangers and cringy "aura farming" as the kids call it, but serious talk some of those fucks have less patience than a 5yo toddler.

Because all they care about is the instant shock factor, the payoff rather than the build up or the journey there, then when author actually shows the payoff they will get distracted for like a chapter or two before going "okay what's next?" before moving on, demanding the next big climax. I think that was him being half theatrical, half honest about what he really wants from this whole plan. To be fair the confession with Iori was more of a "confirmation" that he doesn't see her that way and less her clinging onto false hope.
