This manga is just so... unique, man. Good guys can be total douche and villains can still treat their fellows with tenderness and care, all without feeling unnatural in order to force a narrative of clear "black and white". Every other manga you'd have characters with split personality like Melie either going on a rampage constantly then snap back and fall into self-wallow with no in-between, whereas here she can still behave and rationalise like a totally normal human being

It's called a Cabaret club and she's basically a hostess.
