it probably has to do with spirits. Livestock may not fulfill the name empowerment pre-requisite

for sure, stats alone he has to be a beast since when it comes to high rank hunters, 1 point being a huge difference, he's gotta be a god for his level

Yup... I've always enjoyed discussing things with people. It's usually makes me feel stupid talking to people who go nope, shut up, your dumb, not reading that. It shows a closed off mind that was ready to troll from the beginning. Discussion or debate always brings a better feeling and understanding of the novel. I felt like I got a better grasp of the minor detail while talking. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ CHEERS ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿป

1st paragraph seems like a stalemate because although yes, it'll have more cost which is one of the negatives to the class, to operate those summons you'd need the knowledge that comes from courses later. However, will space rings, no summon times, thus equal cast time. Of course brute force works, but what does a magic combat student do when he drops to his knees to 2 exhaust curses? This was Katarology teacher's point. Curses are THE MOST EFFECTIVE as the only way to counter them is with divinity or sucking it up from what we've seen. If superiority was your goal then isn't everything else a waste when you can rock their senses with curses until they beg you to kill them?

2nd paragraph - he took them out of his space ring and were put together immediately. Katarology is the one study that actually heavily counters summonology. Shielder skellies can block spells if equipped and enchanted well, they can team up on magical combat, and hematology doesn't work either for blood targeting or they can defend against spells with enchants. Again, space rings were the equipment that made casting time solved, as every time a skelly has been brought forth, besides 1st time assembly, they were snapped together fast through law of attraction or just walked right out of his space ring.

3rd ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค ps I enjoy this discussion lol

4th paragraph - when controlling a skelly, it runs off commands and intent, not spells. The summoning itself is what takes so long which is solved with space rings. Spells like bone spear act as fast as a regular spell, as it launches towards the target at the same speed as a fireball and has the same cast time. That was what manipulation was, controlling the bones rather than thinking a spell is input for every action. I can, however, concede that it's inefficient, but not pointless as its safer

Talking about the corpse spider was my point. Its skill level to use isn't high and boasts dangerous poison. It's just taught later in the curriculum. It feels like students are learning structure, then control for each skelly which takes too long to learn vs follow this diagram. Now you have a new spell congrats. They aren't impractical, there is just more to learn.

He probably "allowed" himself to be deceived because no one it the right mind would attack merchants

But ye I'm thinking it's more along the lines of consciously drawing in power to not let it be exposed, like how you exert power to give off bloodlust
