The character designs in this are some of the best I’ve seen. Especially with the elements of body horror incorporated. From stuff like a lady whose eyes are made of worms to the subtle inhumanity of the demons like how Aremelina’s wings are covered in human skin rather than looking like classic succubus style wings, to even the more grounded characters like the wrestling girl’s design. The character designs are easily the best part of this series.

Not that I don’t like the series as a whole, just this one element is on another level that very few manga can achieve.

This story had a lot of highs and lows, but you should let people experience them for themselves and come to their own conclusions about them. I honestly thought some of the ending felt really contrived but some of it was really good. The part where the original protagonist comes back was really well done imo. See that’s all it would have taken.

Abs

This author’s other series killing me/killing you ended up becoming one of my all time favorites. I have high hopes.

I’m not exaggerating here. This is a 10/10 series. It is so creative with its ideas and world. The characters are fantastically colorful and compelling. It sells the feeling of tragedy just as well as it does comedy. It even plays with the structure of the medium in ways I haven’t seen in manga.

This manga makes the utmost use of its premise of the protagonists both being immortal as a narrative tool to open unlimited directions for the plot and visual storytelling. The author has constructed a terrifying twisted world of death and suffering where the only way you could possibly tell this sort of lighthearted adventure story is for the characters to be immortal. You might imagine that this might undercut the stakes and tension of the story, but this is not the case. It’s very clear from the start that these two have suffered in ways only possible for someone who cannot die and will continue to suffer throughout the series. Many of the tragedies the main and side characters in this series experienced brought me to tears. Despite that this series somehow still retains a light tone and doesn’t wallow in its darker elements.

Killing Me / Killing You presents the reader with a world of unimaginable suffering, and highlights the love, joy, and hope found within it.

This was amazing. Really well done choose your own adventure story that was written for the characters to show their personality within the structure of the story no matter which option you choose. Trying something so experimental and different to show how the meteor alters the rules of the world has solidified this as a 10/10 manga for me. I really like this series. More than almost anything else I’ve read.

Especially when they just make them worse. Like mitia already sounded like meteor, but also actually sounded like a real name

I thought it was terrible and couldn’t get through it but that was largely due to the translation
