Is this the thing where he only trained with his dad who was super strong so he never knew how strong he was

So I’m really trying to understand how this world works. I know it’s a fools errand but I can’t help myself, it’s too interesting. I guess the only way they can sustain a population is if they have a way to produce babies without sex, or if their entire society was built around these sex wars like the most elaborate mating ritual ever. Right now I’m leaning towards the latter.
