Actually in muay thai theres 2 ways to take a kick, if its a low kick(aiming for you legs) we block it with our shin, if its a high kick(hips to torso) we side step on the same direction where the kick is going then catch the leg, this leaves us with half of our guard tho so we gotta act quick
