It’s good to see someone else who’s as preoccupied by these questions as I am. I think they sometimes take PoWs based on the slaves we’ve seen serving the king and queen, but I believe most of the Wolves’ population comes from the Foxes sending them the male babies. I think we only saw Foxes killing combatants at the start of the manhwa, but I think it’s probably a relatively uncommon thing in this world and mostly they take PoWs.

As for how the women fight on par with men, I think it was established at the beginning of the story that the warriors have a special power and it was only after women first got that power that they rebelled and founded their own nation.
