Oh yeah complete deviation. There were never any other sex friends for the guy to get involved with. In the OG doujin they just ended up falling in love with having sex with just eachother and eventually get caught. Both get expelled. They struggle after having to break up for a long while. Meet up again after a year or two(not sure how much time specifically passed) and after fighting for her from her then current trash BF. They end up dating for real and get married. Also we meet the heroine's mother. That's pretty much the crux of the entire story. Heck, even the heroine's friends are totally new characters. We've been deviating for a while now.
