Because you might just get it; and you'll never know what it will lead to.

Also, "Hubris" is quite the name for a character.
Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
And you'll never know what your wish will lead to.
One of the requirements was to kill Helena with that dagger when you *really REALLY* wanted to kill her... was it complete?
Also, wowee... you're telling me this guy
this guy
THIS CREEP
is gonna sacrifice his holy powers to revive Helena? Not in this timeline. Principal of the world - or whatever it was called - has miserably failed to keep this story in order.
Furthermore, and this is really important: they aren't enemies. Being kind to an enemy is cruelty unto yourself and your allies, but this ain't that. It really isn't.
You know what was that? When the crown prince attempted to rape her. That was justified self-defense and that caused her tremendous pain anyway because, and this is true: no matter what, murder is heavy.
One of the things that stands out in Villainess works is that the story changes. The changes yield drastically different outcomes. The principal of causality, or whatever it is, in this work seems to prevent a drastic change... or has it? Because from what I can tell, none of the male leads are obsessed with Helena as they should be. For example: if you stab her, will the High Priest really revive her at the cost of all his powers?
1) well, it's complete.
2) There is a sense of sorrow and despair built into this world that is represented so very carefully.
"Thank you! I think I will! A bit too much dialogue for my taste, the plot takes a tad too long to build up, AND we haven't had an isekai in far too long"
but
say what you like about this manhua, at least stuff is happening in it, and it is a joy to behold!

Time for mayhem!

So we have a system we live under... and we have the propaganda in this system to get us to want something. It isn't just diamonds but a ton of things. There are purses and shoes out there that are more expensive than my computer. Why? Propaganda under capitalism.
etc etc.
World building isn't very deep, but it does establish some interest.
Characters are written down hastily to set the scene, but not too hastily that it makes no sense.
The journey of the character has some stops and starts. The obvious one will keep you going for a while but that gets wrapped up -> and there's like 20 chapters left. It's moments like this when the quality drops.
I do recommend it if you're a fan of the Villainess genre.
Be aware of two things before going in:
1) this is perhaps the dumbest Villainess in the genre that I've read so far.
and 2) Shame it doesn't do more with action, as violence is a premium currency in this world and Ms. Main Character is FREAKIN' RICH!

The amusement is in the journey. As whacky as it may be, a journey is still a journey. I think it's a shame they didn't focus more on the action as violence is a premium currency in this world and Ms. Main character is rich. lol
Like when on the board game, I wanted her to do a quick 180 when the old man walked past her -> and pull his heart out of his chest through his back.
