Man didn't age a day in nearly a decade.

Eight years. He hid her successfully for eight years. There are five archmages after her and she was hidden successfully for eight years. Yes, I'm trying to emphasize that time frame. He did a fantastic job. Good job duke.

Opinions are opinions, man.
All opinions are weird - yes including the ones that just go with what's popular.

In the defense of Solo Leveling, not that your opinion is wrong -> it was rushed starting season 2. There should've been more moments of downtime where the main character gets to just... be human.
All of that, plus a lot of dungeons, were completely cut from the manhwa. You can find them in the novel though.

Why? The author was sick... very sick... and he rushed the series due to his condition and the "big guys up top" did not care at all... despite all his effort, he did die before Solo Leveling was complete. Rest in peace. I heard that his death did bring about some reform in how manhwa artists are treated, so they are treated better than before.

Shame we don't get to see his full face of disappointment.

I'm quite amused by how the combat is giant cylindrical stones bonking each other.

You can, if you're bored, photoshop in cans of soda for the lulz.

Well, I almost called it. He took his arms and the sword, not his head. Good enough. lol

I reread this chapter and ya know, not enough attention is given to Dame Serejia in the comments here. She is like "do crime, just don't get caught" and I find it hilarious. She isn't remotely upset that he technically did crime but she's upset that he got caught. It's also kinda cute.

The isekai is anti-original > they journey they go on is long and they eventually kill the demon king. They meet up with people, make allies and get along as if they're new family members that they grow attached to -> and there is zero character growth... U wot m8? These kids end up exactly where they start, but with stupid power scaling that is at the whims of the author's "because I say so."

If you had to spent MONTHS with people in life and death situations as you advance to kill a demon king, you will change as a person. Adults will come out as vastly different people, let alone children; children should be unrecognizable from who they were to who they are now - and yet there is no change. I will hear no contrary arguments as they are wrong.
One kid was bullied and victimized and all he cared about is getting back at the bullies -> one isekai trip later where he literally becomes a super hero and saves the world -> and all he can think about is getting back at the bullies -> oh and since they died so easily, let's get back at the rest of the world too.
HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?

There are a LOT of characters with some interesting ideas that go into each - none original -> but the problem is that none of these characters make sense on a fundamental level - emphasis on the mental part of fundamental -> and sure the author might succeed in tugging at your heart strings, but there is no payoff. It's literally "Oooookay, be sad.... and done. Moving on."

There is a joke: it is that I would've recommended this manhwa despite all this stupidity -> iiiiiiiiiiif there was no season trash. The art and action sequences are... fine. It doesn't save it but you can at least turn off your brain and enjoy violence that's happening for stupid reasons. Chapter 83 and 84 poises the entire series for a finale. The stage is set for the final battle where the fate of the world is decided! Both sides are poised and ready to meet to finish this once and for all!
... and boop, end of season. If it literally just kept going for like 5 or 6 more chapters and ended! See you in season 2! What does season 2 do? Literally undo any and all development for the plot's conclusion -> and go back to the filler -> baddie, who is bad, walks around killing people -> here's another boohoo sob story isekai'd kid who will fight him -> and this kid loses. Now be sad!... okay done. Moving on.

There are two correct ways to read this manhwa:
1) Don't. 0/10. This is the tl;dr right here.
or
2) Start at chapter 1, like normal and read for like 5 to 10 chapters -> Skip to chapter 80 and read it with chapters 81 and 82 and then just stop.

Everything else in this manhwa, in between or after, is filler -> fake and shallow kiddie pool level of depth and complexity where they introduce a character and kill them off because they're idiots -> it's baby logic designed to tug at your heart strings -> without earning any of it. On top of that, none of it matters; this might sound dismissive but I ain't exaggerating. Like, technically and objectively speaking, if you replace the vast majority of this manhwa with nothing, you'll end up with the same results.

What is the filler exactly? There is a baddie, who is bad, walking around killing people and causing mayhem -> a "hero" pops up to fight him -> and the hero loses. Take this simple concept and casually add several chapters of boohoo sob story background flashbacks that keep happening to it -> then copy paste.

If you remove the filler, this manhwa would be about 20 chapters long - from start to finish. And I do mean finish -> as in "there is no season 1 and 2 or whatever."
The story isn't that long nor complicated.

The world building is trash. It is faulty as it is effectively "it's the real world, but there is this little detail with it." What detail? The detail is that people get isekai'd, go on a full journey to kill the demon king - along with allies and stuff -> become super powerful -> and then go home, keeping everything they obtained from that journey.
This, fundamentally, makes no sense. Think about it for two seconds. If this detail really has been ongoing for a long time - since before the World Wars, no really -> and no one knows anything about it? "The government covered it up." Bullocks. Have you seen the powers on display? Shut up.

Only thing I forgot to mention is that you can write 5 comments a day to get 40 points for each. With the check-in that gives 100 points -> you'll get 300 points daily.
Good luck and enjoy.

OH MY GOD
SHE SUMMONED A DRAGON

Dragon:
YOU WHAT MATE NO WAY I'M OUT OF HERE

Again, who ever kills him is his beloved. I thought it was her with that dragon... apparently not!

Also, this is part of the reason as to why I've begun only reading completed works. Imagine going through this entire arc in one go instead of waiting a week between every chapter.

So, I just read this entirely in one day and I teared up a bit, twice... so, automatic minimum of 9/10.

This is one of the higher quality villainess works but you gotta be careful. This work is heavy. Concepts that should be taken seriously are taken seriously.

If you're into the Villainess genre, read this.
If you're not into the Villainess genre but are thinking of giving it a chance, read this.
If you're not into the genre because you want gungho spasticwastic flipout action, then read this anyway. You're probably like 12 or something and maybe it'll help you understand the world a bit more.

Frankly, it's a 10/10. It causes emotions to stir inside you as you read it and the finale tests how much you care about the characters -> and if you do, you're not just gonna get through the last ~dozen or so chapters smoothly. Get up, walk around, take a breather, and go back in. It is complete, so you don't have to suffer while waiting for updates.

Emma is as loyal as Anakhin. She deserves a happy ending too!

As for Mr. Immortal over there, you can still turn things around. You're a moron but you still got power and immortality behind that power. Go, make a name for yourself. Even if you fail, an inevitable war will rise and you will get your chance on the battlefield where you literally cannot fail to do so.

Ya know, in Overgeared - I read the (recently completed) novel -> there is a character who is similar to him, named Hayate. He is a swordsman who killed a dragon and became the first Legend, the Dragon Slayer. They are similar as they got lucky to kill the dragon - but unlike Hayate, this guy sucks because Hayate is peak gentlemen and had to work hard to kill the dragon; it was wounded and dying and he finished it off. A weakened dragon in Overgeared can casually level city and kill thousands of people - Hayate fought that and barely won.
Hayate - GigaChad
This guy whose name I'm refusing to scroll up to remember - LOSER.
Loser with potential, but a loser anyway. May he remember this misery forever -> because the witches will prevent the world from falling apart this time. Yessssssss.
