While reading the novel, I didn't imagine the Evil Eyes would look like this. I was thinking of something COMPLETELY different!

Spoilers: they have a king. Yeah, these chuuni monsters have a king. The king's power is so great, he has to keep both of his eyes sealed. He longs to see the world but due to his power, he cannot. Grid gets him glasses. lol. Yes, it is more complicated than that. It's always more complicated than anything I say here, but if you want more info, go read the novel or wait for the manhwa to get there. Like, if I say something along the lines of "Grid is automatically forced to say "I will not allow your comfort" to activate the power of the evil eye that he gets from the king" <- know that I'm skipping out on a lot of details. lol
If you're wondering, "Don't hold out on me! What's it do!?" Simply put: it removes all buffs from the target. The highlight is when Damien's super strong Pope buffs all get wiped away, leaving him in the floor, crying. lol

A lot of people sitting at level 69 for this very reason. lol
I yolo'd one try to get to 71 and decided to stop there. That'll do.

Seriously, don't read it. I dunno why the other dude gave it a 3/5.

Ya know, I read this when it was still updating, so I got some old thoughts that popped up when I saw it. For one, Mr. Main Character is an idiot. For two, he's designed to be really generic. Like "a product of his time" sort of generic. "He's stubborn enough to stand up when anyone else would collapse" kind of generic. That's not really enough to matter in the actual plot of this manhwa though, so he gets direct plot armor too -> doesn't win anyway. lol. He just survives and enters the fancy school to get stronger.

This is where shenanigans are supposed to ensue for Mr. Main Character to power gain but that would be too interesting. Let's just have some distractions instead. Look! These guys are fighting! Woah! ... uh, oh look! These guys are fighting! Woah! ... uh... oh look there! These gu- you get my point.

The last two chapters go off the rails. Completely off the rails. It's like a six-lane pile up so an explosive finale can happen despite the fact that it makes no sense. One character just pops off and kills like 99% of the school. No. I'm not joking. Also, Mr. Main Character is also suddenly a million times stronger than he was before and when they're about to clash, it just ends. You can tell that the author was mad!

It's not excellent. Metal Gear Rising's ending "going off the rails" is excellent; if you review the details, you can see it coming. This manhwa's ending is just stupid. In fact, it is straight up contradictory - which is pointed out by one of the character. Sadly, for his sin of pointing out the obvious, the author kills him off in the stupidest way possible.

Don't waste your time.

Axed. I read this and I also read "Veritas" which was also axed. I thought they were both by the same dude too. lol
To be clear, I read this ages ago! It isn't worth reading and it was axed too.

Mr. Main Character is a stubborn mule and a decent person. That's like 99% of the plot right there. This donkey gets caught up in business that's beyond him - like, in a supernatural way. Instead of dying and us moving onto another manga, a girl pops up, swings a zweihänder and doesn't kill the person she hits and claims that she is his fiancé. Good for you, Mr. Main Character. Oh wait, he's reacting like a really generic anime protagonist. Booo. The entire romance aspect is just comedy, not romance. Boooooooooo.

Seriously though, her big sword is probably as sharp as this manga is; that is to say she, and the entire plot, are really stupid. lol

Then things build up with stupid jerks being stupid jerks and goodie-two-shoes saying "no" to the stupid jerks being stupid jerks. Instead of anyone with authority going "hey uh, stupid jerks? I get that's all you're good at, but that's not allowed, so go learn to do something else" -> it's decided "hey, let's settle it with a fight!" Then it escalated to "let's make it a tournament!" Then it ends.

The entire runtime is just "intro" -> "build up up for a tournament" -> end. To be clear, the tournament doesn't happen.

Don't waste your time.

I dunno why I'm on some sort of nostalgia trip as I'm coming across old manga I read literally over a decade ago, but here's another one.

What is this about? Mr. Main Character has "fancy powers." In reality, he has photographic memory and literally cannot forget anything. Good for him. Keep him away from any war documentaries.

Despite being a full fledged "I'm 15 but I have a full career" thing going on, he's going to school like a normal person. Shenanigans don't really ensue. Instead, some characters huff carbon monoxide instead of air -> and do really stupid things -> so he can save them. The highlight is when a spunky girl who could spunk her way out of her current problem -> but decides to break down instead. Here comes Mr. Main Character with a pep talk and oh look! She regains her spunky nature and spunks her way out of the problem. That's five minutes of my life I'm never getting back.

Note: "spunky" and "spunk" means "spirited." I used it in a technically incorrect way, mostly as a stupid as a pun, because I can.

Was this axed? Can you axe something that simply has nothing going for it? It teeters towards the "lonely loser" genre where it's a manga about "having friends." Good for you, Mr. Main Character.

It's really short but I also don't really recommend it anyway.
If you're a lonely loser who dreams to have friends, then go outside maybe? "Level up" your communication SKILLS and learn to get along with others. Reading this, or anything like this, isn't going to help you.

I read this ages ago. Take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

What do I remember? Mr. Main Character is a non-existent guy with one personality trait: "he's a nice person." A complete flatline of a character. Meanwhile, all the interest is on Ms. Main Character who was raised by three master martial artists who trained her - and to survive, she develops three personalities which also - somehow - change her appearance too; one of them changes her body size for crying out loud.

One of her dads, that taught her karate, literally goes around challenging people to fights. He walks into some gang's office and the head of the gang was looking at an email featuring info about the dad - saying "if you meet him, abandon all hope." The head of the gang just answers his questions and the dad leaves. The subordinates were confused as to why they were told not to attack.

Why am I yapping about him? Well, I remember the final arc where he fights Ms. Main Character when she's at full power - a fourth alternative personality that combines all the powers of the other three -> and he wins. Mr. Main Character hugs her or something and it seems that she merges all her personalities into one, becoming "normal." Then the plot jumps ahead like 5 years in a single page, showing the two of them carrying their three children, who are the three alternative personalities.

I don't remember much. I remember that if another personality takes over, she doesn't remember what happened. At one point, the question of "What does he do with my other personalities without my knowledge?" pops up -> with the assumption that they're "doing naughty things" -> and this being a comedy work -> something immediately happens to prove it despite it being completely irrelevant to him. What happens is that one of her alt personalities takes over, fights - I forget who -> gets her clothes ruined in the fight -> but she's wearing a coat, so she closes the coat and meets up with him -> reverts back -> and you can figure out what happens from there.

Do I recommend it? I dunno.
I don't wanna reread it because from what I remember, it's a manga with a half-baked plot with horny bait. No hyperbole, I probably read this around 15 years ago when I was the target audience. I don't like this sort of fanservice anymore and I generally avoid stuff like this.

How many years has it been since I read this? This was one of the earliest manhwa to start getting translated. Nowadays, we got manhwa for daaaaaaaaaaays but back then, there were barely any. Noblesse, God of High School, Tower of God, The Breaker (which was in manga format), and DICE: The cube that change everything - which I did not like; my username is irrelevant to that manhwa. lol. Now? We got options and I don't think this manhwa is all that great.
This review's details is based on what I remember after all this time, so take it with a grain of salt.

So, what is this about? A doormat Mr. Main Character who is poor -> but look! A nearby high school called "Wild's High" is deciding to go co-ed for the first time! Rich people only... oh...
The Plot: "but wait! Here's a scholarship! Now go! Experience the dream of being surrounded by girls who haven't had class with a dude for their entire school life!"
Mr. Main Character: "but I have no spine, no character, and really only care about my siblings."
The Plot: "Ugh, you're imposs- er, I mean! New assignment for all the girls: get along with the new boys at the school! Don't mind the fact that there is literally ONE boy and he's kinda getting monopolized by the girl main characters!"
Mr. Main Character: "I'm so poor! T_T"
The Plot: "Okay, shut up. Look, see that bully? He's gonna make your life miserable."
Mr. Main Character: "oh no! T_T"
The Plot: "The girls will see you being pathetic and instead of just moving onto pastures new, they'll fall for you in stupid and unexplainable ways. They'll help train you so you can beat the bully!"
The Plot: "Also, since they're so stupid, they have very little character so they can match the fact that you're a nothing character."

The Plot: "Except for one girl, who is amazing but too good for you, so you won't get to be with her."

The Plot: "Uh, you still there? No? Uhhh... oh no! Look! This girl got some pictures taken when she was in the bathroom! Tournament to get the pictures back! ... this is boring actually, so they just left and the pictures "leaked" - not that they were inappropriate in the first place so "they only boosted her popularity" <- the actual line (I think)."
Me: "What was the point of that entire arc?"
The Plot: "How did you get into my house! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! End the manhwa!"

No, I don't remember the actual fighting sequences, but if you want awesome fighting sequences, then go read "Ghost King" instead. A character legit pulls off the Mikiri Counter from Sekiro in that manhwa.

In short: don't recommend.
All conversations I remember about this manhwa was how people liked Dal Dal specifically but that was it. Honestly, even if he ended up with her, I still wouldn't recommend it.

I'll do my usual thing and give my thoughts after I read it. When will I read it? Honestly? I dunno. I have 33 completed works in my reading list, including this one. I don't have any order to read them; I just like to focus on one at a time then I pick a random one that seems good and read that. The comments praising this manhwa will certainly come to mind when the time comes.

Again, this sounds like Geometry. In geometry, you're given a shape or prism and asked for the area/volume/whatever of the shape or prism. In some schools, you're given a formula sheet so you just learn to apply what you see and bam! Done! Moving on. In other schools, you're expected to memorize the formulas which is where blatant memorization would apply the most.

How does memorizing any particular formula help you solve something like 3x + 1 = 10 exactly? You need to understand and memorize the rules on how to solve this. You cannot get away by just memorizing this specific question and its answer of x = 3 because there are a near infinite amount of these types of questions.
That's algebra and pre-algebra.

So I ask once more: enlighten me. And be specific?

I randomly theorized a reason as to why Cicia is struggling but like... it's just rambling. We don't really know.

Also, mana control vs magic. A simple yet effective distinction. Mr. Main Character is good at one but bad at the other. Perhaps his lack of knowledge on magic helps his mana control? Maybe that's what's slowing Cicia down? Or maybe it's because she's just 15? Or or, and this is the most important one: it takes months, if not years, for one to obtain mastery of mana control like Mr. Main Character. Seeing him learn it so quickly is just an exception to the rule.

I've been passing on reading this for a while. "A villainess manga?" and "Under 30 chapters? It probably go axed." I was bored enough to click on it at one point to give it a chance and yeah, I know I am sometimes stupid but I don't always know when.

Honestly, this is a blast. The premise is pretty simple and the manga knows that "it is my strength" and sticks to it persistently. To be clear: this is a good thing.

What IS the premise? Remilia is the villainess of a certain gacha game. Everyone else has routes and can get a happy ending... except for her. One day, when she was like 5, she wakes up to find herself stuck in her own mind while someone else took over her body. This person is known as "Emi." Emi is... through and through, a complete total sweetheart. She got isekai'd and her immediate thought was to cry over the despair her family must be having as they grieve over her. Eventually, Emi realizes her actual situation and strives to fulfill one goal, one purpose: get Remilia her happy ending.

Remilia is completely thrown off by this. Emi simply starts off as a clumsy goofball but once she puts her mind into something, she is persistent until she overcomes it. As a result, Remilia is now hailed as a genius who has a fantastic reputation with everyone, also really strong. Emi is really an honest sweetheart and Remilia, who has been watching her and reading her memories understands her very much. While someone else might operate with other intentions, Emi has one intention and it's her love for Remilia.

Again, Remilia is watching all this. Emi took over her body and the only thing she can do is watch and see Emi's memories from her past life. Remilia comes to love Emi.
Then chapter 1 happens. Remilia takes back control and... well, you should read this.
