1) The journal is in Hindi, which Seo Jun-ho is fluent in, along with English and Korean.
Also to mention that the watch thing, the Vita, has translation features built-in.
2) The manhwa adds a LOT more context to this.
The journal was just that, a journal full of entries by Tushar Vishi. It spells out what happened plenty, but it doesn't go into depth like this.
Yeah, there is no explanation as to why he didn't use Confession of the dead.
3) He gets a "blood flower" with 7 petals on it. Eating each petal is gross, as it tastes of blood, but each petal gives him +1 to his magic stat. This is completely skipped in the manhwa.
124 failures for Leuf's Garden, btw.
The manhwa just skips to when he's inside the gate but in the novel, he has to get there -> and on his way to the gate, he gets harassed by reporters. He gets badgered by them and has an internal "back in my day" moment when he is upset by them (rightfully so tbh). They keep going and he eventually responds with some hostility and goes then into the gate while they're still shocked.
Also, he brings up the "Bringer of Spring" title helping his recovery.
Wait, I forgot one: the skill says "Allows you to look into the memories of the target. However, it only works on dead lifeforms."
I do believe it is the same author's previous work and if I had to summarize it, it's "MID Overgeared." I'm not being a hand-waving dismissive jerk; I'm being almost literal as I've read Overgeared's novel on wuxiaworld - it is how I discovered wuxiaworld and fun fact: Overgeared is complete.
Anyway, details from the novel:
This chapter is pretty-spot on.
The signing bonus is 200 million won, annual salary is 1.5 billion won. In USD, that's like $150,000 and $1 million (rounding for convenience).
Seo Jun-ho asked about a weapon and was told to just take whatever from the Association's armory.
Also, he wanted to go right now, but due to how tired he became after fighting just 20 dwarves, he decided to delay it to train his body for 10 days. This training is time-skipped in the novel too.

I feel like this speech bubble is weird. Like, he starts of saying "there are 20."
Other detail: GUN. He uses a gun and shoots some of the goblins.
A detail that matters less: the wait time is actually pretty long. He watches a lot of people before it is his turn. Also, those are goblins, not dwarves. They are dwarves in the novel... whatever. /shrug
The art is pretty awesome. Sure it starts off a bit rough but it gets better, a lot better. There are well written characters, plot and lore of the world and all sorts of plans behind plans behind plans. As it gets unraveled, you'll learn just how FREAKIN' SMART some characters are. Like one character literally has the title of "Brain" or "Strategist" of the cult and at one point, without skipping a beat, he drops information and a plan to completely overcome a difficult situation.
It doesn't do much in terms of humor, which is a good thing, but it is funny when the enemies are so freakin' screwed and they just have no idea how screwed they totally are.
I do wanna mention that this manhwa does not have the "Overpowered MC" tag and this is accurate. MC will reach a point of being overpowered but oooooooooh man does he have to WORK, struggle, and suffer for it.
There is an overarching plot that is set up really early on and it is addressed here and there. It is properly addressed by the time this ends.
No, it isn't rushed. It simply isn't draaaaaaaawing things out constantly. It simply heads towards the intended ending, gets there, and some salty people are like "oh no, it got rushed." Uh... no. Please, just stop and accept that it is ending.
Judging by the comments, the absolute worst part of this manhwa is waiting for updates. Well, that's not a problem anymore, so enjoy!
"Someone like me wouldn't have had to suffer."
Spoken by literally everyone who got wronged once and decided to blame everyone and everything else instead of something about it -> and eventually caused more suffering for far more people.
There is no sob story in the universe that would make me sympathize with you.

LOOK LOOK LOOK! HIS MASTER WOULD BE PROUD!
Standing around being like "you're evil! You're horrible!" because your enemy is killing your allies is beyond stupid. Would you just present your head as an apology if it happened to you? No? Didn't think so. You're just a powerless soldier who is definitely gonna die.
Also, Mr. Main Character is young. This fact is not overlooked by literally every idiot in the past... how many chapters? So his struggle against the poison will last longer than most people might expect, despite the war.
