Really glad Haru's father is just cautious by instinct rather than teaching. Haru's siblings are also nice to Legosi and even the mom since she met him once by accident. Honestly such a good dad! Every dad should and always protect his family be it son or daughter. Humans can become rude and monstrous especially with so many unqualified parents that keeps blaming either TV, schools or games in general but never their own teachings to make sure their child is disciplined, well mannered and kind to other people. Totally understand where the Mama is coming from. His baby girl was hurt by rude people in her previous school. To know Kaoru has been crossdressing and close to Nanami would break his heart and trust like he is not worthy enough to know his daughter is friends with a new boy who treats her properly. I think the progress would be for Kaoru to slowly let the dad meet him, know him. See he treats Nanami well. Eitherway he will gain his trust eventually.

doesn't most of the spirits the characters get usually have something to do with their past too? Aside from Okarun actually. 8 inch woman was a mother who got her child sold to human traficking and killed herself through jumping. She was a ballerina. Nerd girl got hers from a friend who was cursed into the heavy spirit. Now unji's lil brother probably cursed into umbrella boy yokai. I think majority of their loved ones that died comes back as a specific curse/yokai after death because it was an unnatural death in asian culture. In japan and china we believe unnatural deaths make a spirit corrupt from loneliness as we cannot see them and usually only in dire and low frequency levels can we see them thats why humans we have Yang Chi while spirits are Yin. Once a spirit lingers too long without being adopted by the heaven they become vengeful from loneliness. I'd like to believe the yokais are all in abundance not just one off. Even the OP spirit the ikemen got is a lonely kid spirit that just wanted to play but was forgetten for centuries.
