The supporting cast(if you can call it that) was also really really weak.
Like, who sees the insurmountable power the MC's faction currently has and go "ah, yes. I should DEFINITELY stab them in the back and publicly make them my enemy."
Honestly, I'd love to see her plan immediately backfire by having the church, academy, and other princess just declare her to be a traitor/heratic and realize how stupid her plan was, but I don't think the writers will give us such an easy resolution.
The MC gets sent to the future of the world he was in with no knowledge of that future, none of his gear, skills, or anything from the past. He's not replaying what he already played, and didn't bring anything from before. The time jump calls itself "new game +", but there's literally nothing "new game +" or "second playthrough" about it.
The reason why I defend religion(even when I don't agree) is because I'm not an idiot who can't recognize the many positives impacts groups have had in history whether intentional or not, and I know that blanket hatred is a sign of a lack of free/individual thinking.
If you judge ANY belief by the actions of their worst members, you'd have that problem. You are grasping at straws and your arguments aren't reasonable. They're just discriminatory and really ignorant.
Dude, the countless pieces of artwork based around Christianity/Catholicism? The strong religious values that have saved countless lives(not even metaphorically, but just actual physical lives) in times of war, famine, etc? The founding and governing of early America? The preservation of some of our oldest historical texts? The countless stories, music, and film inspired/written by organized religion?
I know you're trying to handwave the subject away, but like... did they just not teach you ANYTHING in history? Or like, just any form of accurate information on the subject?
I thought you were talking about the general state of anime/manga
Dude was a petty A-hole, but still extremely powerful and well connected. Now supposedly he's just so unanimously hated by everyone to the degree that it doesn't make sense that he wasn't executed or stripped of his position way before the MC took over.
His wife honestly should've left him just from the first stunt he pulled when introduced alone.
The plot is that MC, his crush, and his brother all have the personality and plot of a bad ntr where the MC refuses to move on from his crush that isn't interested in him, and the mc is so obsessed with acting like a self pitying cuck that he doesn’t even comprehend that the girl who stripped in front of him and said she wanted to sleep with him could POSSIBLY be interested in him.
They genuinely have no grounds or reason to complain, and multiple reasons to outright bow at her feet, so the conflict of everyone opposing her is just idiotic at best.
