Is definitely will make the sword guy have bad end either way. Even if he were to answer like yours, it's doesn't make sense either, because they asked him who's he romantically interested that makes him dare to reject the king marriage offer, not anything else.

And such, if Gu changge were to retort or straight up killed him if the sword guy were to said those word, it's not make him rigid, unreasonable, or anything else because specifically the situation, the atmosphere, and the built up right there. It's can be taken as offense easily because to entertain such idea itself can imply that Gu Changge may have such thought or desire, which socially taboo or deranged there, and if Gu Changge were to just brush it off, it's can cause rumour, because that just how human/society work.

I don't know, i don't think that a smart move either, that would make him a freak, which essentially would killed him societally, so if gu changge want to kill him, people that are there will probably think that reasonable. Even if changge didn't kill him right there, his father or the king would probably lynched him. Unless you mean confessing in a platonic way as in servant or worship, not in attracted way, which i don't think was what he mean, hence reason why changge say that in the end🤣

Not sure how i feel about this :/, a op character, and very young nonetheless, defeating already solid standing character just after briefly being introduced sound like a lot of BS, i wouldn't feel like this if there was some build up, like for example, some of the enemy, those demon king atleast mention that there some young prodigy or someone like that in the past chapter, but no, so far literally none mentioning this sudden edgy boy that wipe out one of the strongest character. It's like deus ex machina but in reverse, which still a BS no matter how you spin it around, lol.
