It's is enjoyable bullshittery at the very least lol, people just assume bullshit=bad.
I really really hope they won't pull some BS and he somehow able to revived.
"Oh we somehow can revive him because his brain/head still intact!"
But it was a good journey, worth every bits of reading and waiting of every update.
Meanwhile this one, the really good one was the monk kid and samurai one and that its, because I can't remember any other fight anymore lmao.
But nonetheless, as i said, there no real threat to him at all, he is now currently not as strong as his past life, but so are majority of his archenemy/nemesis, none of them as strong as they are in his past life, hence no real threat, except the author try to make them a continuous threat by doing this, over and over again, which is starting to get lame.
Without these ragtag of enemy, MC could get stronger faster (thought he probably won't get the mage n martial mix power thing, but at least he will become 9th rank mage or even 10th like his past time), by acquiring more relic and all, and his companion only need time to get strong overtime.
Other country? They tried to gang him and the result was utter failure.
The only one that really put threat into MC is that old sword saint, but that one also more or less can't do anything to MC because his mentor.
So, the only thing really feasible is these bunch of ragtag team that keep surviving and keep getting upgrades and powerup because plot or deus ex machina. It's wasn't bad idea, but there limit of how much it's can keep getting used, and clearly, it's past the limit.
Especially considering the fact that in the previous life, MC doesn't face any hard predicament before he reached OP level before doing his country shenanigans.
Well, they couldn't really suddenly introduce new enemy for no reason either, because the author already have sage of silver for that, which well, yeah...
In the end, it's feel like the story getting restrained because the build up finally catch up, and all they could do is prolonging these skirmish to make the series goes on longer, making all these flashy but no substance fight over and over again.
Quite a shame, was really digging this series as well.
I will be honest, either way of doing seem valid.
I guess manhwa trying to take route where they kinda 'humanize' encrid more.
Drawing and strictly text only have different reach and capabilities of what can be portrayed and shown to reader afterall, mean different chance of approach.
For example, despite his 'veteran' experience as mercenary, in the manhwa it's already shown that not every mercenary was 'typical', given his memory of his past team/squad before it's got betrayed. Not to mention, he himself is an outlier to that 'typical' prejudice isn't it, so while rare, definitely not every mercenary was 'typical' and the manhwa already shown enough reason of why she isn't 'typical' mercenary. Hence the manhwa approach also feel very valid.
This? The current one? It's just bad, like there no reason why this should happen or anything, other than just trying to make her more "relatable" waifu, and feel like just completedy erasing the previous progress.
Now i know byeok and his squad definitely more insane lmao.
