wow, just wow, this scene was well worth the wait. Still, its probably still possible that Isaac and the prince can be retrieved in some form or another.

If the MC is just going to slowly overpower an OP mob that suddenly gets introduced, the least they could do is end it quickly. There is no stakes here if he's just gonna kill him anyways. Granted this is how this manga has been  from the start but its still boring to see. 

The author did well to contextualise that scene. It wasn't really about him killing the guy, it was to show that while the antigoddess faction would have been an obvious ally, it turns out they are also human supremacist but an even more stupid and worse way. Makoto doesn't just kill with no reason, it is a character trait that has been established over the chapters. This dude was just irredeemable and indeed letting him go would have been troublesome later. Even if he had let him go, pretty sure shiki or any of the other ones would have taken care of it.
