I truly love this manga.

The author is James P. Hogan and the first book in the trilogy is "Inherit the Stars". The audiobook version via Audible is well done!

This is based on one of my favorite sci-fi trilogies and, having taken some artistic license, still managed to present the story in a manner which does not bother me in the least! I whole heartedly recommend this series to any fan of the original story as well as those into hard sci-fi.

I apologize for nitpicking, but an M16 is an AR.

One doesn't trip and fall and become a junkie. That first step (and many others in the life of a junkie) requires a decision to place their hook above all else.

Much obliged! I just want it known that anime/comic/manga nerds CAN find happiness in relationships. Just keep your heart open and be receptive to the people around you, while just keeping your pinkie toe barely dipped in the pool of realistic common sense. Takes a bit of practice, but can yield some wonderful results.

Honestly, when I first read the title I thought it said "Killer Potato".

In this world we live in people live in mud huts, medieval buildings and modern cities, all at the same time. Why is the same concept considered odd in a fictional story? (Not trying to be a smart ass, just genuinely intrigued.)
