Interesting to see a villains backstory that has them always an evil asshole without even a sad excuse.

But there was two problems with that story.

1. The partner getting into a conflict with villain and even being close at the time to someone who's into cutting. You want to confront a psycho like that without killing em or something, you do it in public at a distance.

2. Whether it was mercy or revenge, leaving someone that bad alive, even without arms, is a terrible, terrible idea in a world with magic fungal abilities that allow you to grow shit out of it. That traveler with the car even said it like it was a not too uncommon occurrence, people with arms removed with fungal abilities becoming bandits and what not. Do these people not learn?

Well I don't get why it's limited to specific individuals for going into these areas but there are other individuals that could come along that have been in the underwater dungeon city before, like any of the elves for example. There is a whole city of people who could go with, pick the strongest to make it 5. (I wonder what would happen if you tried to bring more than 5, this story is so gamey)

Also aside from plenty of people they could have brought with, what would be the problem of bringing someone with a gold bug? They'd for sure collect alot.
