Isn't that too harsh? Sure being too selfish, but at least did help Maid Coffin. Regardless someone being selfish IMO doesn't deserve the death penalty as long as their selfishness isn't actively causing risk of life to others.

Besides saving their life they might get it through their thick skulls and take it seriously. They are still useful to MC so for everyones sake let's hope they do live, I have a feeling they will be saved. Story has invested too much into them along with that being the general story projectory.

Was it really that idiotic to want to avoid fighting and getting into danger? I don't really buy the authors position that doing so increases danger for you, as long as you keep tension and guard up.

Seems like es is getting rewarded for the pathetic provocation as expected

I don't see any feminism in it. But for many many many chapters it's just the MC working for the man who murdered es parent for free, killing innocent people in raids because revenge? Oh yeah and the murder pillages directly went against MC's parents wishes but MC doesn't care about es parents will. Which amounted to battle after boring battle with no motivation or anything. It's just not good story coupled with giant plot holes right in the center. After that long stupidity is over, it gets more interesting IMO, but still... eh.

The basics of morality is the old standby do as to others as you would want them to do unto you, empathy type of thing.

Helmut isn't a idiot, Helmut would hate it if someone cut their arm off and would hold a grudge about it for sure, even if it happened during a tournament. It's also no sweat off MC to not chop off the arm, this was a easy opponent, I'm sure Helmut could have defeated them some other way without maiming them for life without any effort.

Also blood loss from losing a arm can kill someone pretty fast, if that happened, it would be killing them.

What a idiot, you're telling monsters that you're a important person so don't kill me....

Also yelling out you're a member of the blood cult, aiming to die just in case the zombies don't kill you I see.

Not luck for the most part, just skill. Remember es a priest thief for example, so "stealing" the moth artifact was part of a skill. I don't think es needs a nat 20 to manipulate someone easy to manipulate with emotion either, always has been the taunting irreverent kind of person.

The boy being same as the girl based on what? Because he can see her face? The comic gives us omnipotent view of things, we always see when she is faceless and never see the boy as faceless. And with all es expressions as well.

Also I don't think es is a "ghost", eats and everything. Some kind of yokai or supernatural being but not a "ghost".

"I never claimed it to be my "taste." "

"That is the traditional nature of goblins and orcs."

You have made it clear you prefer goblins written to want to rape human women, that is how it should be in your opinion based on nothing at all. Basically you said 'I'd prefer goblins not in the story, but if they are in the story they must want to rape human women' I already refuted your "traditional nature" bit.

":And don't let yourself be caught in the narrow mind set of evil being simple and 2 dimensional"
Is this a self lecture? Remember saying this?- "They are evil creatures"

Also you talked right past my point that goblins in this story are just mobs to challenge players and be killed, not only in function but narratively as well. They have no thoughts, they get spawned like game mobs, goblins in this story don't even reproduce! Goblins in this story, like everything in the dungeons of this comic, are not "evil" any more than a fire is "evil" or a hurricane is "evil". So these mobs wanting to rape human women is absolutely the worst world building.

"to fit an ideology,"

The ideology of fitting in the fucking story!!! I want to have good world building in a coherent story, you call that a "ideology"?!?

" Just because you don't like some or you find it disagreeable does not make it "irrelevant.""

True, it being irrelevant makes it irrelevant. "traditional" whatever is irrelevant because authors are allowed to write whatever they want and should use whatever makes for the best story. Aside from which you are 100% wrong about it being "traditional" I spent time outlining this.

"I'll give you the last reply"

Just as well, since you ignored and/or severally twisted about everything I said to repeat your BS. I wouldn't keep responding to your now rude (rude because ignoring and twisting my words) nonsense anyway.

Old lore on the general idea of "goblin" is irrelevant, but since you want to hang your hat on that anyway and be so very wrong

"Original goblin myths do not include forced relations or human hybrid offspring.
This idea is a modern invention, primarily found in fantasy fiction, graphic adult media, and some dark-themed games.
Traditional goblins are malevolent tricksters or household pests, not creatures involved in human reproduction."

https://www.britannica.com/art/goblin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goblin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redcap
https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/0015587X.2023.2259727

But the fact that these are game mobs spawning to challenge players for reward in this comic trumps all of that. Game mobs that don't even reproduce but just respawn after destruction trying to/rape players is trash world building.

Also, I asked chatgpt to tally all the modern stories it could find with goblins. Excluding 3 entries that were hentai like. (obviously literal porn like "Ero-Goblin" doesn't count)
Of 17 stories with goblins.
12% (2) are ambiguous or borderline regarding the forced-sex trope. (had to rephrase to get past censor bot)
12% explicitly depict forced sex by goblins.
76% do not include the trope at all.
So old time legend, to typical trope, to role in this specific story, you score 0/3

Goblins as people with their own thoughts and goals makes more interesting story. Frankly I find your tastes terrible, but I appreciate your politeness.

Which is MC's choice, and not something to condemn her over.

Could she have handled it a bit better? Perhaps, she is a kid though.

I see this completely reversed. I don't like the idea of "evil", like a designation, a type, a 2d caricature. But these don't even reach that. Goblins as some kind of people with their own ideas is much more interesting.

Besides, they don't reproduce in this comic, it spawns. These dungeons are gamified. The goblins are mobs to kill, they mindlessly attack, they don't fear death, more is created when they die by the dungeon. We don't need mobs raping players in games. That doesn't add anything to the game play. They aren't even really "evil" because in this comic they don't have agendas or minds. Just mob items spawning to be killed for reward while providing danger, and try to rape humans for no reason.

"shows an author's ignorance of these types of creatures"

Goblins don't exist, you can't be "ignorant" of something that doesn't exist.

Well they didn't stop being friends, not at that point at least. If MC wanted to keep the friendship, then make plans for such latter, or try to help her dreams of being a adventurer maybe.

I said some, so like could tell White dragon that es from another world and that is where some of the knowledge comes from, considering everything, White Dragon would definitely be receptive to that truth.

Means the same thing thus is the same word.

Then what difference in meaning are you claiming?

But it's the same word meaning the same thing. You're describing pointless rules about which spelling to use when. Please don't bother me with that absurdity

From what I recall Helmut is possible nobility, so this kind of thing where they have some kind of essence of nobility around them, very annoying concept to me. We need more MC who are just honest to god commoners (from another world doesn't count) or much better yet worlds that aren't based on aristocracy & feudalism. It seems to me if a MC has a mysterious past, they'll highly likely have 'blood of nobility' which makes them inherently better.

I suppose it could also just be the progression of martial skill making them look attractive I guess? To play devils advocate with myself. But that choice of wording makes me doubt that.
