That chapter ending was confusing, why did Hero hand MC a bloody book and put MC on a demon chair?

MC's imagination where every little thing somehow results in them coming to the conclusion MC is a slime is funny. "bad paperwork? You must be a slime!"

Rather than MC slime being suspicious it was the original dead person who acted like a demon.

I guess for the same reason they want the chosen saint dead, like saint being alive blocks them somehow, they are still blocked thus saint is still alive, is my guess

It's also the unique perspective of a being basically with the innocents of a child but also intelligence like a adult or however you want to phrase it. Author really did a good job of showing a demon learning of the world and who they are, that outsider perspective.

I don't know how much adaption time would be "realistic" for this fantastical scenario, though keep in mind that Slime inherited all sorts of things including memories, probably even muscle memories. How to do things is built into the body that was taken over.

That aside if Slime didn't adapt fast it wouldn't work since it would reveal them too quickly

So the humans name the slim possessed was "Jelly", kinda a bot on the nose with your irony or whatever you'd call it.

Interesting beginning, I liked how MC had the basic logic to realize you don't want to imitate a horrendous personality just to blend in and realizing that personality could have easily gotten the human killed

Usually it's it;s the person reincarnating into a slim or coming over and getting a good slime familiar, slime reincarnating into a human is definitely a trope reversal.
