Well for example Hellsing (I think, if I recall correctly) on Amazon, which is a older series, subtitles and audio don't match at all.

So let's say a MT is used for a anime, why do the audio and subtitles not match? Like if you are going to use a MT, you'd think they'd use the same translation for both audio and subtitles. If the audio for example wasn't MT then why wouldn't they just have the machine print subtitles based on the English audio? It's weird.

Maybe you can tell me why so many animas on streaming sites like Netflix or Amazon, if they bother to give subtitles at all (often not translating shown text and stuff even when key to the story) the subtitles are radically different than the dub.
