Sperm isn't lined up on the starting line waiting for the trigger. The slightest difference in time will change which sperm reaches the egg first. Not a Doctor but I assume different sperm = different person.

If that is the case then going back in time would cause a ripple effect, changing almost every child conceived after that point, changing history greatly enough to potentially place you in a paradox where the time traveling device you used to go back in time no longer exists.
