If I had to pick between a system or an over explaining sidekick, I would pick the system. It is a little lazy but it's a whole lot better than some of the shit that we had before.

I wouldn't say they all are. I personally just don't like the ones that don't have a purpose (plot wise) for existing. This one is an example of that but I still read because I like the power itself. I think my favorite way of the "system" being implemented is got to be either "S Class Hunter Villainess" or "Mythic Item". The former having the protag complying a tower setting only to get kidnapped on another isekai where the system is broken from the journey. The later is one with a sentient system that turned back time so protag could have a chance to fulfill his destiny.

My guess would be that the eyes come from the same place as her curse. Who knows, might even be that they were made with that purpose in mind. I can understand the disposition however, there is enough hinting at something else that I will have faith.

I don't know. It's just a feeling I get from this story. It almost feels as if the story could end in a chapter or two. There isn't much that's holding it together right now other than the factor that there was an "original story" which we know next to nothing about. A light breeze could collapse the story right now.

I honestly think you are right however, my bet is that it won't be able to happen due to axe-kun or other influences.

For a longer series absolutely however, I get the feeling that this is getting wrapped up sooner rather than later.

I honestly wish that she gets redeemed. She made a mistake that led to travesty but none was by her own hand. I would liken it to a blacksmith forging a weapon for the wrong person. In any case, she is responsible but I don't think she should be held liable, at least not for long.
Edit: To be honest I wasn't thinking about the man's situation. With that context I agree with you all, don't know why I didn't think of it honestly.
