My suspension of disbelief kind of died here, I know MC had some bullies, but I highly doubt a group of that size would be filled with that many people idiotic enough to ride up to a rich school to start trouble, they would KNOW it won't go well for them. I'd have expected them to jump MC on his way home, or when he's alone at his house.

That said it's not my only gripe with this, MC is pretty dense. I get falling back into old habits that came with being mistreated and perceived by the world horribly, but he should be aware how attractive people are treated whether from media or even just witnessing it, it shouldn't lead to some perpetual misunderstanding that girls are just inexplicably friendly or that he shouldn't be there.

I'm really hating the abusive woman who just beats MC around, what an unlikeable garbage.

Orrr even the ungrateful robot who just tried to kill the human who defended her, that's discomforting too.

Imagine how pathetic someone would come off if they blatantly couldn't get any hits in while a handicap system was increasingly reducing damage as they near 0.

Actually there was a similar system in the ranked mode to that One Punch Man fighting game, if you played better you'd get debuffed while worse players would deal more damage to you, it was really stupid and unfun so I've been told.

I think he'd have looked better if he kept the unkempt look. It's less ordinary and better reflects the character's efforts, why exactly would he become less sleep deprived after the transfer? Maybe he'd shave and look his best for the waifus but he certainly wouldn't put less effort in, he'd put in MORE now that there's actual stakes. Again, he looked better unkempt and the eyebags at least should've stayed.

Media is so wonderfully enlightening in some ways. For instance: Mirai Nikki taught me what true love is whereas the Fate series introduced me to the cute feminine expressing male (and the freedom of knowing of such a concept). Had it not been for such revelations I would probably have started stress eating junk food starting from a young age.

Except when it's their really beautiful female peer in which case they'll still have fantasies about protecting her despite getting their asses beaten by her (as seen in the previous chapters).

Depending on how beans are prepared you can avoid them giving you gas. I have a lot of good bean memories most of which aren't accompanied by gas.

If she was capable of it then maybe, but I suspect she's too childish to leave him alone. I don't even think he's lacking, he's just not what she wanted and she's still pissy about him not changing for her (he's living in a modern world so being lazy isn't exactly a sin).

Also I just realized that she barely reacted to seeing Deculein after inhabiting the body of that little girl which goes to show she isn't very perceptive about the fact the man was acting uncharacteristically (not pursuing the valuable he paid for and "lost"). So she's passive aggressive, childish, and imperceptive (which in itself implies lacking empathy).

I wonder if she's written to be that bad of a gal or if it'll even be addressed. If anything I hope she gets a heavy reality check and the ending is rewritten to something like "Deculein righted his wrongs thanks to the guy who inhabited his body and believed in him, all their combined efforts paid off and now they have a cushy royal mage life with a wife" while she gets a "After realizing her character flaws she went on a long perilous journey of self growth".

Seeing her being passive aggressive while he's innocent and clueless really cements my distaste for her, haha

I don't think it was really that cut and dry at least in this depiction. The context to what HE did deserving of her blow-up (and character she based on her perspective of him) was missing, I mean a consistent laidback "lazy" personality isn't exactly that. I'm not exactly onboard with believing some cruddy emotional opinion of an ex we barely see, if anything from what we've seen she was the A-hole and not only did he suffer directly but indirectly from her.

I think so, yeah. He's suffering unfairly from his ex just as he probably did in their past life together. He'll probably also suffer from her again since she ended up in the body of a little girl, supposedly the ending has something to do with that too but that's a vague memory from a spoiler I read..
