imma hit you with the straight cold facts then. my relationship with my siblings is much different from yours and the other 2 commenters. we have a 15 year age gap between us. by the time i was 5 my oldest brother was already moving on his own and my sister was about to marry and leave the house aswell. i have only ever recieved love from them, we dont have a relationship like you guys mentioned. so there goes your whole fucking argument i suppose? just be nicer to people.

i think there is truth in what both sides say. it depends on alot of factors what kind of relationship you have with your siblings. in our mc's and his brothers case. it isnt a strict brotherly relationship. but more like a psudo-parent, as he had to step into the role of his dead mother&father in taking care off of his little brother. so his relationship starts off different than most people already. there are also other factors to consider between siblings, one of which is the age-gap between them. if the age gap is 1-2 years. then the relationship will be really different, you will be more like friends to annoy eachother. but if the age-gap is 5+ years at least then you act more like an elderly sage for your younger sibling. ofc the situation of your family plays a major role in all of this aswell. if ur family is poor then you cant really afford to mess around with eachother, you might even have to step up to care for eachother. but if your family is middle class or well off. then you can afford to have a more jerkish relationship with eachother and even troll them on a daily basis because the younger sibling will always get the most love. so that changes how people view relationships with their brothers. i believe the people above are speaking for majority of the sibling relationships. which is actually accurate. but they should have mentioned that from their experience it is different. which is precisely what you were getting at, i believe.
