this is gonna be contreversial but... they are made up though. like if we were to use logic and look at how they are described and their powers n shit. that is kinda impossible. what most likely happened is some religious fruitcake who was higher than a kite going outside and seeing natural phenomena and wild animals in the sea and going crazy from the drugs. not to mention them going on long trips on boats, making up and believing in anything so long as they can get back home and when they do. the one who they prayed to last is now their god. but oh well this feels like a diss towards the mythos, which it isnt honestly i love it.
