Honestly the cliche of struggling to use his power when he needs it doesn't work here. I understand they are trying to show his indecision due to losing control last time, BUT when he first bit the kaiju and transformed it was made clear that his default form was the kaiju. He was having trouble transforming back into a human and had to concentrate to keep the human appearance. Im enjoying the manga, but these little details can add up overtime when author's use cliches randomly.

I wasn't expecting it to get axed and forced to speed up. Honestly, I wish we could have seen that 5 year journey as well as him planning out his hospital, but the series is still solid as a whole even with the rushed ending. I do wish we spent a lot less time on the director arc as that was my least favorite part of the story overall.

I'm not sure how it creates a multi-dimensional world. Its cartoonish evil. I am fine if the story wanted to go into the corruption of hospitals or dive into the morality of for profit hospitals. I don't understand how a director purposely trying to kill patients makes the world better.

This director drama has been the worst part of the series by far. The series is at its best when the dude is being a doctor interacting with patients and making people's lives better.

This is the part I don't get at all. If the author wants drama than let the drama come from the whistle blowing part. It's especially weird since they had the scene of him saying he has been banned from the OR to the media. I figured that would have been the start to the whistle blowing.

"Don't force your belief onto others" - from the dude whose belief is slavery, which by definition is forcing your belief onto others.

Immortal Loch has to be my favorite school battle I have ever seen. Its the first time I have seen this type of story have a battle between students where the students are just being straight goofy.

This is the drama that I missed. Fuck the hospital politics stuff. Lets get back to trying our best to saving people.

The art is unbelievable. The artist deserves every raise they ask for. Also I am liking the drama of the story. It feels more mature than the average story and the drama so far has happened naturally.

I agree with the romance drama. I don't mind a blooming romance, but these cliche drama scenes to pull them together instead of naturally having them get closer isn't my type of thing.

I'm hoping that when he gets through this rough patch he will continue building a sect. I really like MCs that build the community around them.

I would agree some of the things you mentioned are them showing off his shapeshifter traits, but I would disagree on the following:

"ability to close quarters combat" - his shapeshifting obviously helps him because of his physical tools, but all of his progress to close quarters combat is from learning immortal techniques either from his manager or his dad.

"his intuition for fighting" - This one is a little muddy. Many of his fighting instincts are shown to be picked up from his mother beating him up a lot, but similar to the above he also picks up a ton of these from his manager.

"his ability to change his senses" - This was noted as something advanced immortals could do. This isn't a shapeshifting only trait.

Now going to your last comment, all of those things have been mentioned for shapeshifting; however, outside of the mom's training element, almost all of his progress since then has been because he has developed his immortal abilities not his shapeshifting abilities. This is what I mean when I'm complaining about them not playing into his shapeshifting more. Right now he has a passive shapeshifting buff from the very beginning of the story when he trained with his Mom's friend. Since then he hasn't developed anything on that side of the bloodline.
