The fact that he looks like a fucking paedo next to her child-like body is the reason this had to mention they were both 23 in the description.
Very fucking uncomfortable though.
The ending really let's it down.
An insecure pleb just so happens to get the interest of a beautiful and confident woman who, knowing he doubts himself endlessly, toys with him like a cat would a mouse... but is it because she likes him and finds his lack of confidence so cute, or is she some twisted hoe who likes teasing nerds, occasionally taking their cherries to add to her collection?
When I wrote that the ending really let's this one down, it's not a spoiler and it certainly doesn't mean you should skip this! What it does mean is that the ending leaves a lot of unanswered questions and the lack of closure bothered me... a lot.
Damn, I was mulling over giving this a 2.5 because of that ending - a better one could've even boosted this up to a 4, so definitely don't skip it just because I was left dissatisfied.
We really deserved a better, more clarified ending.
He's older than her, true, but where are people getting 10 years from? Didn't he just say that he wrote the book 10 years ago, and she read it 3 years ago?
I'm here because, Welcome Home, Papa, is a superb psychological read, but I was really convinced this was a straight up wholesome.

"Worms, Michael, you're eating worms."
Gotta love the classics (and that shit really looked like worm pie)!
FL is clearly a catch and she knows she is, but she's sick of shallow dudes after her just because she's gorgeous. The first chapter told us it all: she a romantic and she's longing for a deeper connection - i.e. The One. She met MC because the book was the most romantic thing she'd ever read and, finding a dude who loved it too, meant she absolutely had to meet him!
The problem is that she's been dropping
hintsbombs the whole time about her long-term intentions and to see if he just wants to bang or go the distance, and he's been too fucking clueless to see any of them!https://i.postimg.cc/D0SzvLmh/i.jpg
So now he's so insecure and self-doubting that she's literally on his bed, telling him they'll spend the night together... and the idiot's thinking about a little 19 year old who's not yet even a woman!

Oops.
Short and cute.
A nerdy 26 year old can't talk to girls... so why not hire one?

But the poor bastard probably has death-grip from too much hentai, so he gets a rental girlfriend, instead of a proper hooker!

She's hot... but plenty weird. In the end, it's all about: is she just after his money or are nerds this chick's thing?

I'm not going to recommend this though, as then I'd have to tell you whether or not it's wholesome, and that would ruin it.

I'm a 26 y/o office worker addicted to paying for sex... but without the sex.
I'm madly in love with the woman I hire, even though she goes on other dates and has the mental age of a 6 y/o.
I think a woman who works in the office likes me, but she's too real. Before my retarded, fake gf, I masturbated solely over 2D girls and I couldn't even speak with real, flesh and blood women.
Please advise.
So, this dude needs to ask her out on an unpaid date to find out where the line is... if it's a nay, the office chick is a YAY!

But most importantly: why tf am I still reading this?
I honestly can't stand the trope, so if it is, I'll pass.
It was then and it 100% is now... the only thing missing is that MC committed suicide via truck-chan.
Honestly, wtf does the extra have to do with anything?
