That entire arc was shit.

A sexy, but very psychotic girl professed her undying affection... am I the only one who doesn't understand the need for revenge?

So no-one even wondered why Shin Minwoo suddenly had half of his face melted away or who did it?

I'm letting this title stack up a bit, but hopefully he'll be back in it when I return.

It's a Korean "webtoon" and it's on this site.

No, I've been going through a lot of completed titles I had bookmarked... and I'm a slow reader.

Actually, I have to thank you, because I'd forgotten to even bookmark this!

Yeah, I'm really not enjoying this - torture-killing for revenge is fine, to a degree, but this fucker tortured this dude for 1,000 days! He didn't just traumatise him, but he made him a bona fide spastic from continuous oxygen deprivation, FFS!

When the bullies are cruel, we wish them to die painfully, or to be crippled some how for life; this MC has become possibly worse than these fuckers!
There's no redemption for him at this point, and the whole point of revenge is to finally be able to move on from the past to live a life of some kind of normality. That's not happening for this MC; it's only been 4 chapters and this shit's already feeling doomed. https://i.postimg.cc/50RfjLdX/i.jpg

Like, WTF, Scoob?

I was going to read this, but all the comments of faggotry have turned me off.

Oddly enough, this was in the similar titles list under, Castle, whose MC is named, Kim Shin!

I doubt they're related, but I'll check it out as it's relatively short and complete.

A very ambitious effort.

To fault a Korean comic for having too many characters with Korean names is absurd, but when one simply gets overwhelmed trying to remember who's who, is it a reader or an author problem?
That aside, I have to point out how the first 20 or so chapters - in which the majority of people are introduced- is the introductionary arc of this epic, so please don't give up on it until you're well past this, as it gets a lot easier to follow (not that I had any problems at this point, but comments and a few reviews I found were very negative of this early on; my problem with trying to remember whom referred to bit-part individuals were, however, was a mainstay).
Of course, if you plain hate it, drop it... but, if you're here for an action/revenge/gangster comic, you can do a lot, lot worse, so try to stick with it.

The story follows the MC, who returns to Korea after training himself in Russia as an elite hitman. One would imagine then that, based on this premise, he's going to walk through walls and simply murder everyone who gets in his way until the conclusion... but, thankfully, that's not the case.
Up against a ludicrously powerful enemy, the MC seeks influence over the small gangs of Korea, with the endgame plan of taking on the mighty, Castle organisation (hence the title), with enough numbers and power to rival them.

The reason I'm not rating this higher, isn't because of the silly naming issue, but because the MC is kind of distant throughout, fails to do even little things like wearing cut-protective gloves when going into what he knows will be knife fights (I doubt many hitmen would survive long enough to hone their skills if constantly walking into fights out-numbered by 5 or 10 - especially without body armour!), is a tad too OP for this to be realistic (always out-numbered but winning unscathed, see?), a lot of the characters seem only to be there to add to the scale of the story and lack personalities, and, most importantly: I didn't think the fights were anywhere near good enough.

Honestly: I don't want epic battles all the time in what's supposed to be a thinking-man's action saga, but when they do happen, they should always be clear, even if not flashy or well choreographed!
This was probably my biggest complaint about the comic: sub-par fights.

Is it worth your time though?
While it's certainly well-plotted, illustrated and does have a few cool moments, unfortunately - to me, at least - it always felt like it was punching well above its weight.

I'd recommend it for those looking for something less brainless and more large scale, but it does fall very short from excellence. https://i.postimg.cc/02RhXnY2/i.jpg (image: one of the numerous characters who you'll give a much bigger shit about than the MC).

Last updated: 3 months ago; over 90 chapters published in Korea, not fully translated (as the last update here shows).

Well, I did want to read this, but... I'll just bookmark it for now and hope things change.

Hmm, so now it turns into a corporate back-stabbing tale?
I'm disappointed with the ending, but knowing that the sequel, Pinnacle, is already well underway, eases things somewhat.
