Geckos are not venomous although most local superstitions believe they are. That is because some geckos have nasty strains of bacteria in their saliva similar to Komodo dragons that lead to infected wounds and eventual death.

Edit: yikes I actually went to look up the strain of bacteria and learned something, I was wrong in that Komodo dragons actually do produce a hemotoxin in their saliva, geckos coexist with a strain of salmonella that can cause severe paralysis.
