That was a guild. The rule only applies to parties. Guilds usually gather together on certain floors to gather resources or to farm bosses. But if it's a curse, it might actually draw stronger monsters than should be on that floor. I mean if they could actually go around as a whole guild, they would just melt through monsters, especially with 10 + mages and vanguards and tanks to protect them. Probably a way to balance things
