I hope they mention how he got that skill in his previous life. The conditions seem pretty specific and i can't really picture how he would have gotten it without a large number of enemies, which he couldn't have met in easy mode

Self esteem problems he helped create in the first place. He didn't outright bully her but he did interact with her differently than how he did with other people. Him being her close friend growing up would have fucked up any steps towards progress she might have tried to make.

Also about Itsuomi being a better person; You don't have to go that far, you just need to see how he handled conflict. He never led Emma on, pushed her away properly but still kept housing her when she was drunk because it would be dangerous to send her away. Or even with Oushi who was engaged in a one-way dick measuring contest on their first interaction, they're friends now, and look at the efforts of de-escalation it took.
