I don't want to ruin these moments so I'll be vague. Fran meets a certain person that gives her hope and a path forward. Fran meets another special person to her and then that special person dies. Fran then meets another special person to her and then she almost dies (but for a long while the story makes it seem like her death was all but certain). Fran is given the opportunity for revenge but has to go through a storm of emotions as she battles through a moral quandary. Someone that Fran admired turns out to be the root cause of the journey that started her suffering. Each sentence I just typed is its own significant plot point haha

My info comes from the web novel but there is little difference between the two when it comes to major events if I remember correctly.

The MC takes unnecessary risks sometimes in my opinion and this is one of those moments. It makes for some great scenes though!
