It's not wrong though. The guy translating the novel explained in his notes that "Amamya" and "Amemya" actually sound completely identical in Japanese and are just written with different symbols. Making a slight change to one of their names was just their solution to keep them apart in the English translation and I guess whoever translates the manga chose to just translate the text as is without doing that.

From the dialogue it seems like the little sister already knows that Haruki is a girl. I wonder if it was skipped how she found out or if the misunderstanding just got lost in translation.

From what I could gather (author's notes in the Extra chapters from "Musuko ga Kawaikute Shikataganai Mazoku no Hahaoya") Zyugoya is a man in the real world, but uses female personas. Haven't seen any indications that he's transgender either.

I think the author is just not being consistent with her size. In the chapters 6 and 7 we have a pretty good comparison between Hyena-chan and the MC. He reaches up to her chest, but here his mother only reaches up to her hip.
