What I meant was that maybe someone happened to mistranslate it this chapter, because the words have similar meanings in everyday use.
That they accidentally made that girl call herself an administrator, when she was actually introducing herself as a floor manager. Floor managers are supposed to keep the balance of the tower, so taking back an item a player isn't supposed to get could reasonably fall into their jurisdiction.
Obviously she was lying about having to take the water, but it seems odd to me that she would claim to be an administrator, when her authority as a floor manager should be enough. She also called herself an "intermediate" administrator and the protagonist referred to her as such too. Floor managers are ranked, but admins aren't and the protagonist doesn't seem to be calling her out on it either.
This all makes me think that this is actually a translation error, even though the translators have been very consistent so far.
Damn, those two have really mastered the use of their ability.
