because they can't negotiate with the dwarves. The dwarves are the one who won't give them the treasure no matter what. They DID negotiate with MC in this very chapter and tried to sneak into the treasure room to end things quickly. This is such a dumb argument you would only see from someone forcefully trying to defend one side. One side fight to recover their humanity, alongside that of, again, thousands of chimeras, is willing to negotiate and avoid bloodshed as much as possible, the other has literally no reason to fight and isn't even intelligent enough to negotiate to begin with. It's not rocket science. Either guarding the treasure that could save thousands of lives is evil, or they aren't intelligent enough to be "good" and "evil" and are functionally just animal, and killing them is no different from experimenting on a guinea pig. Either way, the side with the MO of "we don't want to be evil monsters" is not wrong. And telling them to kill themselves shows a lack of common sense and basic human empathy
