Not sure we're reading the same manga, here. None of what you're intoning implies in this story at all.
- MC, just last chapter, monologued it took him two hours to find three slimes, meaning he's just as useless as he was before Sylphy was summoned despite his level ups. Improvement would have been hunting 10 or so on his own in a shorter amount of time. He couldn't even do that much.
- Sylphy herself isn't boasting any great personality. She has three modes: "love my master", "violent over my master's disrespect by others", and "fatally-clumsy".
- The director (RIGHTFULLY) decided that the whole fight was a waste of time in what was your typical 1-cour anime ad for a LN/WB variant, and they likely were never getting a followup season. Thus, why waste time on a plot line destined to never be rightfully explored (The Demon King cursing Lucelia)

The bond is a debt instrument and in this case the 1.3 trillion in principal will be due in 3 years and in full. During those three years the bond issuer (the brother) would be required to make regular interest payments. So that already is generating money. If the interest rates are good it’s best to not pay a cent of principal until the due date because presumably your assets already invested will be generating returns in excess of interest paid.

The MC wants to lull them into complacency and have little liquidity so that when the credit card industry crashes and the payment is due, as someone else said they will be in a crunch and unable to pay in cash.
It’ll even more catastrophic if the younger brother gets a loan as they’ll be beholden to the bank on top of the creditors and the MC all at once.

Even though technically they could pay down the principal over time, they’re greedy. They’ll clutch onto their currently valuable assets even as the ship sinks.
