I would say dense mc but this time it's kinda reasonable? He thinks she is friends with him because of pity and guilt, and everything they do together is also because of pity and guilt in his opinion, from our pov its quite obvious but if a girl whom life you saved by dying is acting like this there are two option pity and guilt, or interest, which do you think pessimistic person would pick, and honestly she isnt helping her case much either
It’s not even obvious to my POV. Like, she does nothing but bother and insult him, at least IMO. I don’t fault our MC for thinking that, for I would too. Hell, I would’ve removed her from my life even earlier..
when a guy friend insult's, you dont feel anything rather you feel proud of it and add more salt on it but when a female classmate or acquaintance (clearly they havent spent too much time together) insults you or anything like that even as a joke or sarcasm it hurts like hell, even like heart is ripping apart, you will want to die and never show your face again to them
True, our boy doesn't want to have friends just for show, instead he just want being alone or maybe he really do want real ones not because any special reason.
Still it is a little sad to have a special connection to be severed for something like wanting a "healthy" one... Being a savior or a partner in crime(Time leapers) is a romantic way to start a friendship or even a lovers relationship.

'I want to see how people are living here', she says, like what right does she have to request that when she can't even do so in her own nation? I do think she's a bit of a problem. The author is aware of this but he'll keep trying to justify it, at every turn. It really makes the MC look like a pushover.
